    Good Evening Everyone,
Well as of this past Monday I'm the proud owner of a brand spanking new 2012 Tacoma Quad Cab long bed 4x4 thanks to my girlfriend.

I drive a truck for a living hauling highly specialized loads contracted to a major aircraft manufacturer. Sorry but corporate "social media" policies prohibit me from using their name on forums. We like to call them "The Big Building Where They Assemble Aeroplanes" or "The Worlds Largest Building" or my favorite "Lazy B" due to the union not allowing anyone to actually work. I have to watch that one though because my girlfriend and my son are both union employees there.

Anyway I have always driven POS Junkers because I see no reason to spend good money on a truck that I only drive a few days a month. However my girlfriend absolutely hates my choices in vehicles and has been on me for some time to get something nicer to which I have just ignored her.

To make a long story short, I got back to the yard Monday after making a delivery and she was there to pick me up for lunch. I got in her new Camry and off we went. As we were driving by the local Toyota dealer she turned in, pulled up in front of this brand new silver Tacoma, reached into her pocked and handed me a key, pointed to the truck, gave me a kiss and told me as long as I was with her that I wasn't going to drive junk. She had gone down that morning while I was unloading and bought me a new truck. However there's a catch, we're getting married early next year and when we got back to the house she carried the purchase contract into the house, circled the number at the very bottom and wrote Shane Company next to it and handed it to me. Point well taken except I can't find a rock nearly that large on their website.

Come to think of it, I got a pretty damn good deal at the Shane Company for my wife's ring...

...and a DCLB to boot. She may truly be a keeper!

Your very correct, she's a keeper but there's more to the story. She's my fiancé but she's also my ex girlfriend and the mother of my 18 year old son. It just took us 18 years to realize what we had back then and I suspect we have grown up a little bit too.

However I was talking to her last night and since I'm out if town till Friday evening she has taken quite a liking to the Taco so I suspect when I get home I'm going to be joining the Camry owners forum.
