Found a man selling his guns. Today we bought 2 pistols off of him. We should be going back to buy a few more guns here soon. He had 2 lugers he said hed sell them both but he said there high dollar and he would like to look up some prices. Both guns look to be just metal (good condition) not blued or anything.
    Description:

1st Luger is marked with 1912. With a serial number of 13XX every serial number on the outside of the gun matched up. It also had the markings for like 1st batallion etc etc. Everything was original and not refinished. Not sure what caliber.

2nd Luger is not marked with 1912 (on top of barrel) It is missing 2 or 3 serial numbers doesn't look to be grounded off or anything. There just non existant. It was slightly higher then the first.

I just want to know what a fair price for these guns would be. I wish i had taken pictures and I wish i could lok these up myself but i dont know how. Thank you for your help and knowledge

talk to him, and take pictures.

We could speculate, but pictures are solid proof of what we are looking at.

That one mestring posted looks just like them. The first one marked 1912 has a hole on the bottom for installation of a foldable stock. Id like to go back maybe next time I look at his rifles. Ill get some pictures of the pistols.

if theyre real lugers from 1912, with all parts matching numbers etc. theyre worth up to $2500 in good to great condition.

beware though, theres alot of fakes/replicas out there and you said one of the guns has numbers missing, thats no bueno when trying to resell.

I would say there not in perfect condition but they are in original condition. Maybe when we check out his rifles I can buy the pistols and turn a quick profit on one pistol and keep the other.

From what i read the ones with no serials arent worth as much because that means it was a luger bought in a store. Not one a german soldier carried.

BTW thank you guys for your help. I will try to get some pictures soon hopefully before next week. So maybe you guys can help me out with a good price with a little emat on the bone for me

not a market to play in unless you know absolutely what you are looking at.

Old military weapons are a good way to get fuked out of some serious money quickly.

    This

And this. Pre WW1 (1912) guns are desirable, but the later ones not as much, cause there was a buttload made.
