looks great! what paint and primer did you use? also, did you put a thick coat at the beginning? it will come out better (and stick better) if you do a many light coats letting them dry for a few mins in between each

if your rims are really screwed up, use a coarse sandpaper then wash them off with acetone (water works also). you can also use the roughest steel wool, it works well.

the best way ive found is to make sure no part of the rim is shiny at all and use self etching primer then rustoleum wheel paint or enamel

    Thanks.

Interesting about primer + enamel. RMAN had a bad experience with that combo.

    no prob.

not sure how well the enamel will hold but it should hold real well because its a real "hard" paint, most paint strippers/acid will not dissolve it. i know the wheel paint works well though, i painted my first rims with it and i didnt even sand or primer them, just wiped with acetone. i just had minimal chips from wheeling, but never any peeling

haha just gotta angle the hi-lift right. We changed the tires on my dads FJ about a month ago and the hi-lift started to push in on the body, so we just lowered it back down and kicked the base of it back under his FJ a little more. his FJ is in the 6th pic

Without one of those bigger base plates i'd be scared to let a decent sized fart off with that thing, let alone rotate the tires on it alone!
