I have decided to keep the d-ring isolators.

And you know what? You want to keep this color-matched ball rolling? Yeah, let's keep it rolling. Why the fuck not?

Don't argue with NC rock :spy:

I've climbed in Yosemite, Tuolomne, Cirque of the Towers WY, Granite Mountain AZ, most of the crags around Flagstaff AZ, a few small crags in NV. Western US and I aren't strangers. FWIW, NC has climbing just as good as any of these places.

Thanks man! Really liking how yours is turning out as well

Climbing is actually why I originally bought the Taco. It was supposed to be transport to and from ice climbing locales after bad weather and on forest service roads to climbing destinations.

This whole offroad thing was just kind of from falling in with the wrong crowd

Adjust your monitor, or maybe it's the lighting. They're very much blue. A hair deeper than the paint color, but when they're under the truck in shadow it'll look right.

    Hahahaha holy fucking shit.

That measuring tape is set at 12in even, for anyone wondering.

Icon is fucking *awesome*...custom 2.5 threaded body shocks with the biggest goddamn reservoirs I've ever seen. 23" collapsed, 38" extended.

    Next to my feet...I'm 5'10" and wear a size 10.5 men's shoe...

    You don't say:cookiemonster:

15" travel seems alot more then needed especially with Dakars (or any replacement pack really) unless you've got some other plans for them?

With shocks off, my rear axle has just over 13in travel shock eyelet to shock eyelet. And you always want a little room to breath. Mounting option may require outboarding the lower mount a little more, so more travel is better than less, as long as compressed length is manageable. Which it is.

Also, a big shoutout here to Sonny at DownSouth Motor Sports. Great customer service. Called me back same day with specs of what Icon could do and what the cost would be. Super fast build and shipping, tracking info the whole way.

Buy your suspension from DSMS people, regardless of cost. Businesses like that should be supported.

So your mounts are going to be straight up and down with the shock in a 1:1 ratio with travel etc. Towers would probably have to cut through the bed (similar to LT style shock hoops), so strength and space purposes.

DSM has always been awesome with customer service, for just about anything I need to order:thumbsup:
