One day it will get a solid axle, but that won't be anytime soon after the Moab trip I'm pretty pleased with how it sits currently besides a few minor mods I don't have much planned for it at the moment.

I bought a soft topper after seeing how sick it looks on JW's truck. Mine is black and it gets stained from dirt/mud, even if I wash it with a lot of soap right after i get back from wheeling. Also the plastic window is fragile when its cold out. Other than those 2 things I love it. Keeps the bed pretty dry too.

Just wanted to say thanks for the ride while at Moab on Greenday. You let me jump in until we got back to my truck down the trail. I could tell that you had done some work to your truck, but WOW! Amazing! Hope to see you around at another event.

I think JLink covered it pretty well, I don't have the problem with stains on mine which is either the color or the type of mud I'm guessing my buddy has a black one and hasn't had that problem either. I did break a rear window in cold weather when I first got it but Softopper warrantied it no questions asked and I have not had any issues since.

Thanks, I posted some of the pics you snapped with my camera here

Check out the Shoshone field office BLM site and the Sawtooth national forest site for info it's a mixture of the two for the Wood river valley in the mountains outside of Hailey.

Lol i love how your "flexing" shot hardly looks flexed when you look at the tires as they are just so huge but then you look at the LCAs and you ohhhhh haha

    It's called IFS :D

Nice build n0rth. Why do you want to run portals?

Looking at doing something a little different, I like the reduction that the portal offers since I'm only a 4banger. I have been looking for C303 axles but they are hard to come by and I would probably end up with some major changes to the drive train to accomodate them. So I've been thinking a set of custom shorty housings using LC running gear and 60 outers with a set of Axletech bolt on portals problem seems to be the width if I link it so it may end up being radius arm or leafs not sure yet. I'm still brain storming at this point but I have a set of complete LC axles in NM from an old FJ and want to make use of them.

Isn't the LC rear axle offset to one side?

You already have a crawl box, why would you need any lower gearing?

Aside from the portals, it sounds like you are on the right track. 60 outers are a must on these trucks.
