kinda like an off road place. off road trails also camping. look up land be tween the lakes.

 

oh ok, well im down! Im goin camping next weekend in Arkansas about 4 1/2 hrs away and i go campin and rock climbing at Sam's Throne in AR a few times a year and its about 6 hrs away so im not scared to drive a few hrs for a camping trip. Especially if we can do some offroading too

 

I would love to do a weekend camping/wheeling at land between the lakes. i would love to get lifted and on some tires that aren't drag slicks before then though...

 

ok cool. i think it will be a 5 or 6 hour drive for me. and thats why it would be a weekend. idk what kinda off roading they have. but hear their is some.

yeah. if anything just tires. call discount and than pick them up right by five guys. like i did.

 

yeah, but the problem is, i don't have 500 or more to spend on tires right now...

 

yeah. i had like half what i needed for tires. mom and dad helped. and thats also why i did not lift at the same time.

 

What did yours cost you? I might be able to do it at Christmas, like you said do the half and half thing with my parents.

 

$205 a tire. that was for 265/75R16 and load E rang. i think total was like 700 or something. and with getting 4 at one time you get a $100 rebait. i was going to get the trail grappler but they wear a bit more.

 

I was about to say, at 205 a tire, that's more than 700... Dang. So much money for rubber I'm gonna burn anyways...

 

lol. yeah. but nitto terra grapplers are rated at like 50k miles or something like that. plus picking them up will save you money.

 

My dad really likes michelins, both he and my mom have used them on both of their cars...my dad's silverado has just under 200k on it and he's only on his second set of tires. He rotates them and wears them evenly, and they just keep going.

 

yeah. i hear they are good. but idk what kinda A/T’s they offer. also terra's are snow rated witch is another reason i got them. i try and rotate ever 5k or 10k miles. witch is every or every other oil change.

 

When it gets closer ill do some more research, but for now I'm just looking and fantasizing. Why did you decide to get e load rated? Tire rack told me that c load went with my truck...

 

better for hauling and towing. they will tell you that but. you can get what ever. c will have a thiner side wall witch is kinda bad for off roading. has more flex. i would get maybe D or E. idk i may have D range.

 

I know they are stronger, I was just curious as to why you would get e on a taco. I would probably get d if I could, a little stronger but not super stiff.

 

yeah. i also think they ride very well. not to rough. it is a 4x4 truck after all.

 

Exactly. If I wanted a smooth ride I would have gotten something different.

 

yep! all tho i pretty much had to have a truck. 4x4.

E range seams a little excessive! My cousin just got some e range tires for his 3500 crew cab ext.bed 4x4 for the weight. And that truck probably weights 8,000 pounds or more. Thats more then double ur truck
