I recently purchased and installed a All Pro rear bumper, and was disappointed I could not mount my factory spare with the hitch installed in the bumper. The only reason I didn't bite the bullet initially and buy a tire carrier rear bumper is the face I have a backup camera and love it. Every design I found would block he existing camera. Does anyone know of a compromise? Do any companies produce a bumper WITH a backup camera integrated into it? Any help would be appreciated.

You are using a alpine head unit or just a alpine camera with your factory backup cam screen?

Pioneer's camera is easily mounted wherever you want if you have one of their head units.

I have a tire carrier and dont even bother using my back up camera anymore. I would like to find a way to relocate it but honestly its not that big of a deal.

I would be interested in seeing what you all come up with.

idk how or if it would work. but i was thinking for when i got a rear bumper. trying to use a camera from an FJ they mount on the tire mount and are in the center of the wheel. but idk if they would plug in to a taco camera.

You can mount the camera down by the lic plate. Just take apart your tail gate and take it out...not too hard...

Then buy the handle from the 05-08 taco and put it in place of yours. This way you don't have a big whole in there....

ummm are you talking about the integrated allpro hitch? I had no issue shoving my stock tire under my bed with the allpro rear bumper and hitch... or are you talking about a different spare tire mount?

What about the tire flat against the center of the front of the box. That leaves the tailgate handle & cam unobstructed. Also, the tire can absorb many bumps from shifting loads too. The main trick is to keep it held fast from light-fingered tire shoppers.

I have a cbi rear swing out. There is a hole where I mounted mine. Works well.

I thought about mounting one there but it would be difficult to line up the hitch when you tow.

So i plan on mounting in the center of the swingarm looking down. I've already tested it out with my oem camera taken out of my tailgate. I'm actually just waiting for a new oem camera and harness which i bought from another member here.

This will help me in a couple ways, it'll be plug and play with two camera's (incase i want to remove the tiregate) and it shouldn't take to much modification to mount.

I'll share some pics when i'm done.
