Hey everybody. I have a 2007 DCLB with a Fabtech 6" suspension lift w/285/70/r17 goodyear silent armors. I have noticed over time that its starting to feel loose. Evrytime I am in park and turn my wheel i hear a pop and sort of clunking sound. also when i reverse out of a parking spot. I do have a vibration off the start when driving. And when i press the brakes i feel a click and then when i let of the brakes and start moving again i feel a click. Is anyone having these problems? What is it? what can fix it? or did The lift installer just fuck my truck up

I'd go over all of the bolts of the kit and re-torque them. Sounds to me like the problem might be axle related(like maybe loose u-bolts) or maybe the kicker braces on the front are coming a little loose? Those would be some things to check.

Dont need to be a mechanic.
Crawl under the truck and look for these sticking out of parts of the frame:

Then use one of these to tighten them up:

Basically, look under the front of the truck and all of the bolts attached to the lift kit brackets should be checked over. On the rear, look on each side of the axle and you'll see the U-bolts, they're the shiny 'U shaped' bolts pointing downward in this pic. Yours probably wont be shiny, those were new ones I installed.

Just check to make sure they're all nice and tight.

I would have someone turn the wheels back an forth with you outside.

check to make sure that the steering rack isnt moving around. if the bushings on the rack are worn, it will give you a mushy steering feeling

as for the take off shutter. a one piece driveshaft will take care of that, its axle wrap
