Not long at all. They were easy to take off but putting them back on wasn't bad at all either. Everyone that complains about how much work it would be and how big of a pain it is, I honestly don't think they've ever done it. I put them back on by myself and it was a little tough just because I did it alone but if you have another person it would be a breeze.

Honestly what do you do when it rains? Find the nearest bank or gas station cover to get under or do you continue to drive like normal and let the seats and carpet get ruined in your $25,000 vehicle?

Put the doors on if there's a chance of rain

Why would you drive through the rain? Do you see wranglers driving through the rain with their doors and top off? Or motorcyclists riding through the rain? (well sometimes I suppose). It just takes a little responsibility and planning.

Ummmm yes actually i do! Jeeps are made to take the doors off therefor their.interuor components are a little different than a tacoma (which is not) my roommate drives a JK on 40s with the.doors off everyday and my other roommate has a yk on 38s and doesnt even own doors and their interiors are fine im just saying i feel like rain would completely ruin our interiors but i want to do this soooooo bad! Maybe i could rip out the carpet and do a vinyl floor like the old f250? And neoprene seat covers?

I'm from NE ohio where there weather is almost always too shitty for doors off of anything, but when we do get sun it lasts for at least a week. As for taking off the doors, it's easy. The electronics have quick disconnects and the doors arent very heavy. You should go for it. As far as ruining the seats, some rain water won't hurt. And if you're moving, not that much will get in unless it's really pouring. If you don't wanna hurt the interior, don't do it - if you wanna do it, you should try not to be worried about the interior.

Hahahaha this made me laugh! Thanks for that bro! ;)

No matter what u do to ur truck there will be haters and there will be people who like it! But that is why it is urs and not theirs! Im not a fan of jeeps (onroad) or of people taking there doors off for numerous reasons, some personal experience, but none of them being because of looks! So to myself I laugh evertime I see this done

3 year old post, but I'll bump it anyway. Wat did you have to do to take the doors off? Did they go back on fine afterwards? Thanks

Yep they popped right off, I am a smaller dude about 140 lbs (soaking wet) and I can take them off solo.
Putting them back on tho I would recommend having an extra set of hands just for stability so you don't scratch anything up.
I kept the hinges on the truck so I could just bolt the tube doors to the hinges.
Everything aligns back up and plugs back in perfectly fine.

No real reason other than boredom and the question in my head..."I wonder what it would look like without the doors."

Living in an island down here and being surrounded by jeeps and old Broncos with their doors off, maybe a little jealousy too? Haha

It really does increase the excitement of driving too.

Thanks for the reply man. I was attempting to take off the doors to access behind the fenders, but found another way which was more than likely a bigger pain in the ass than doors would have been.
