    I pulled out my Alpine CDA 9847 and Alpine V-Power Model MRP-F240 (4/3/2)Channel amplifier along with 10" E-type subwoofer and pair of 6½" S-Type component speakers w/tweeters and Alpine Crossover networks from my old 1993 4-Runner. (Which sounded AWESOME by the way) and have been sitting on them for about 3 years now. I wondered if all this would go into my 2007 Taco. In addition, I would like to kow if Alpine has a module out yet for Bluetooth? I believe there is an outlet for an IPOD cable but not sure.

    Anyone know about this ?

    It would most likely work.
    Know that you will need baffles for door speakers no matter what you have.
    Check the mounting depth on the sub to ensure you can fit it and get enough airspace in a box.

    Alpine has two modules for bluetooth, but you need to check compatibility. For your model, this one most likely works provided you have Ai-NET (whatever that is). If that doesn't fit, you can get a BlueAnt device that clips to the visor.

    Another option would be to just replace the head unit with my Alpine and sell off the rest of the stuff. Add the Bluetooth and Ipod modules and hope the existing speakers and sub sound good.

    It's up to you, but I haven't heard many rave reviews on the stock speakers ;) Since you have it, might as well use some of it - at least the door speakers, because that doesn't set you back anything except the baffles.

    I have an 07 with the JBL - 6 CD. I am trying to find an interface component that will allow me to direct wire my XM XMP3 to the stock deck. Can anyone shed some light on what component I need to make this happen.

    Went ahead and removed the JBL receiver/cd player completely. Purchased and installed the newest Pioneer 6100 unit. It has all the features I needed. AM/FM CD/MP3/WMA player, Front AUX Jack and USB port( I used the jack for my TomTom Go 910 which has a 40-GIG hard drive and 210 CD's already on it) the USB port can charge my Cell Phone and plug into and control an IPod. In addition it has bluetooth which can be used with my Cell Phone and an additional Bluetooth Hi Fi device. I also had the Serius receiver hooked up to it and it is HD radio ready..

    I will later have my Alpine Amplifier hooked up, a new sub woofer and better speakers installed in the doors.

    It sounds a hell of a lot better than the stock unit (By the way, the stock unit is for sale... CHEAP!!!) along with my stock front Bilstein's which were replaced with adjustable Coil-Over's and Bilstein 5100's from Downey Off Road. They use the stock 04 4-Runner springs. Rides nice and lifted my truck 3"+ in the front http://www.downeyoff-road.com/SuspensionComponents/1995-04_Tacoma.html

    Now I wonder if there is some way to control the new Stereo with the steering wheel controls that are now dead ?

    Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.


    Depends on the deck and if there is an adapter that will allow interface with your steering wheel controls.

    when i fold my seats back up the woofer hit the plastic behind the seats and make a ugly sound what can i do?

    Crap...that's a good question...set the woofers into the box further??? Cut a hole in the back of the seat and fill it with foam? Naw that would deaden the sound...hrmph. I say set them back in the box further if that's possible.

    My pre Runner came with the factory installed satellite antenna and the aux input jack but I need to know how to connect the antenna to the control head I already had. Think the antenna jack is behind the radio somewhere. I haven't seen it. Thanks!

    left kick panel, green connector I thought? Did you try a search? I've seen it mentioned here somewhere.:)
