Just bought my 2nd tacoma a brand new '12 had my last for 9 years with NO problems! Awww she was fun!! So anybody have this problem.... passenger side window will not go down if operated by passenger. YES the child window lock button is OFF. But if I bump the window down from drivers side then the passenger can put window down. ANY THOUGHTS? misaligned window maybe?:confused::confused:

My 2012 does this exact same thing, I haven't had time to take mine in, if you do let me know what they find. Weird thing is that for me its intermittent, sometimes the passenger switch works other times you have to bump it down with the driver side switches and then the passenger switch will work like the OP stated.

Make sure your window lock button is unlocked on the driver's door?

Window lock button is unlocked, I don't think its the window binding up because the window works just fine from the driver side switches, just the passenger switch wont work unless it is assisted by the driver side switch.

^^^^ x 500 just take it to the dealer - that is what I will do if it happens to me. Could be malfunctioning wiring from pass window switch

One of the very few issues i've had with my 09. Dealer changed the passenger side window switch twice because it happened again then 3rd time around changed the main switch on the driver's door. Haven't had an issue since and that was probably over a year ago.

The common ground for all door switches is in the drivers door switch assembly.
