So we took my wife's 00 Civic Si in for some new motor mounts and rubber bushings. Got the call last night that the rack and pinion needs to be replaced. At least this beast will drive amazing when its done. All new motor mounts, new bushings for the entire front end, new motor mount inserts, new shifter bushing inserts, new belts, 2 new shocks, new rack and pinion, and then off to network for an alignment..

Looking forward to the car driving good and re-doing her stereo in it, but not looking forward to the bill for all this.

Yeah man they worked really well. The shop owner loved them since he deals with lowered cars a lot.

Just a bunch of old crap
Hate to bust your bubble but it's going to take more than 4 months to save up for a house. Tough to get one when you're 19, too. Not that I don't want to see you get what you want, just trying to keep it real. What guarantee do you have that your g/f will be working at BofA then, too? Be careful counting your chickens before they hatch. Just sayin', from experience.

Yea, banks are not so excited to give out home loans like they used to be. Especially to a 19 year old. Of coarse it wont hurt to give it a try! Going to need a BIG chunk of change for down and other associated costs. But I guess if you buy a cheap enough house your down wont be so much.

Personally I have no interest in buying a house. Resale is so bad now that its like buying a car. Your basically upside down for 75% (might be off by a few % points here so you can double check my math) of the loan time, and on a house that's a LOOOOONG time! So unless your really secure at your job and have no intention of moving for the next 15 years, I would stay away from buying. But that's just my $.02 worth. And what do I know right??? lol

Lol I wouldnt take this as being a dick, so true. And just remember sometimes the big bad wolf comes and eats your chickens even after they hatch. That one isnt a metaphor, sayin from real experience

Yea but that was 3-4 years ago. That was before the bail out I think no? That's a big difference. Like I said, wont hurt for him to try.

Biggest problem is there are not many houses. My folks do real estate and They were saying Banks are holding on the the forclosures and only leting a few go at a time so if you aren't prequalified or paying cash you are pretty much not getting a house.

My guess is hoping the value comes up so they either lose less or dare I say make a profit.
