    There are a lot of houses in chandler for sale. My buddy just bought one not far from where I live, great price and awesome house.

    All-white-tukee is full of houses too and they are reasonable in price.

    In my opinion, it's a buyers market. Prices are low, and if you can qualify, your mortgage will be cheaper than renting an equal property.

    no not really, i can save 2k a month if i live at my dads. and once my lease is up ill have my 3 revolving lines of credit for at least a year each. no guarantee that she will be, but 95% positive. my moms a manager here (bank of america) her mom works here, i work here, step dad, haha lots of people. where im at, its all about who you know. my manager already stated she wanted her and has an interview tomorrow at 1pm. then my old manager said if she doesnt get the job, she will interview her again. i have had this plan since before i moved into my own apartment (besides my gf working at b of a)

    you guys gotta remember i work with mortgages all day every day haha. im planning on coming in with about 10k down( depending what loan options are available at the time). and my age means nothing as long as my credit score is good, i have 3 lines of credit for at least a year, have the correct amount of money down, have a stable job (which i do) also, bank of america offers great benefits to us when buying houses.
    im planning on buying a house thats around 100k.

    i know they arent being a dick, just tryin to show a young guy the ropes.

    :cool::p

    Just a bunch of old crap
    Not trying to be a dick here at all, just really hoping you aren't overly excited about something that could easily put you in a real pinch. If you can only save up $2k a month living at your dad's, that's not enough to have a mortgage and maintain a house. I'm assuming you are living at your dad's for relatively free, so $2k would cover your mortgage ($100k house) and utilities and basic upkeep each month on a house, at most. Leaves you no room for food, vehicle expenses, luxuries, etc. What if the a/c goes out in the first month and you don't have homeowner's insurance? You have to furnish it? Repainting, appliance replacement, etc etc etc. A $100k house is not really going to be "ready to go" unless it's in a dumpy neighborhood you will hate living in.

    Don't rely on a g/f to contribute to a house you own. What if things change? What if she bails? What if you are tired of things? Just make sure you can afford it responsibly on your own, regardless of how good you think your relationship might be. I'm just trying to spare you the pain in the future of getting in over your head this early and really harming your finances and credit. Just barely squeaking it out is probably not in your best interest quite yet. You will be house poor and really suffering with a quality of life that just gets by on the basics. You have plenty of time, man. Keep it simple for now, quit trying to grow up so fast, and enjoy being young!

    I really don't want to cast a dark shadow over your dreams here. By all means, you're an adult and you know what's best for you. Just make sure to take experienced people's suggestions into serious consideration.
