Got the Weathertech rain/wind deflectors for the front and back windows for 2012 DC V6. Put the front ones on today (per instructions) and they are still scraping the rear portion of the window. Seems the window really has to work to close when it reaches the final 3 or 4 inches. Window starts to stutter obviously from the tight fit/friction of the deflectors. Any one else have these and have the same issue? I know they have to "seat" a bit but it seems it should fit better than they do now.

Mine did the same thing for a day or two. I think you just gotta "break it in" so to speak.

I got the stick on ones, and over two years, the only prob. I've had was I peeled a corner in the manual carwash. A little piece of double sided tape fixed that. Compared to all the problems I hear with the in channels, I would never even think about them

If one has ever tried to get that fucking sticky stuff off your truck, no one would EVER buy those stick on ones, major pain. OP, I have never noticed any resistance on mine, from day one.

That stuff laughs in the face of Goo Gone. The foam part came off fairly easy, the adhesive not so much. GG would seem to soften it some, but as soon as you tried to wipe it off the rag would just stick to the mess. Ended up using mineral sprits and a credit card. I'd as soon to have shape stick in the eye than to do that again.

what is the purpose of those vent shade deals anyway...

when I see a vehicle with them I think...smoker. because the old cars had those little triangle vent windows in the corner and guys who smoked had them open summer & winter.

Goo Gone or Sticker Shock to get automotive tape off.

For the in channel, give the inside of the rubber track a shot and wipe with dry silicone spray. Also stops frozen windows and doors in winter for northern climates.

I had the stick-ons for a couple weeks...luckly the tape was defective and i was able to return them and exchange for in-channel. The tape-ons just don't look good on the double cabs...screws up the flow of the door lines imho. I've read of other's having problems with the Weathertechs...even to the point of scrapping tint off windows.
I've had AVS inchannel on for 5 years now with zero issues.

Does anyone know if the 2012 Weathertech window deflectors fit the 2013? For some reason on the weathertech site they don't list the deflectors as an option for the 2013 model but they look identical to the 2012's...I'm imagining they do but just wondering if someone has a 2013 and bought the ones for the 2012's anyways.
