Looks like TacoFMS is about 12 years younger than I am, so he'll have to keep looking for someone to pour his beer! :)

My greenhorn (son) just helped me build this thing so he's just about up to speed.

As for the Tacoma, we have decided to call it Jaws. We found the name Super White kinda funny, and decided to call it Great White instead. Jaws was an obvious choice after that.

Yep, a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. It's a replica built from a Factory Five kit. You get a bare tube-frame chassis, an unfinished fiberglass body, and a huge stack of boxes. The rest is up to you.

My son and I drove it to Ohio and back earlier this summer for an event, and my ears are still ringing. Next year, we're pulling it up there behind the Tacoma.

NICE! Because my second question was going to be "don't you feel bad driving it?" Being worried about wrecking a classic is what would keep me from getting one, even if I could afford it.

But a replica... you sir, did it right.

They only made 6 originals, and when they do go across the block they sell for $6-7M. I don't think any of them see the road, though I saw a video recently of Leno flogging one in the parking lot of the museum that it sits in.

I don't know how much money you have, dude! I'm not up on my shelby's, all I know is they look cool as hell.

In my head I was thinking along the lines of buying something on the level of a c2 corvette and driving it... you know, only spending like a mere hundred thousand or so. Know any good manufacturers of a 67 stingray replica kit? :D

Hell, I'm broke as of Wednesday when we bought the truck! :)

The kit we bought cost about $13K, plus the motor, trans, rear axle, fuel tank and a few small bits from a Mustang. We even painted it ourselves. The deal was that it would cost less than my wife's Accord.

Lots of folks think this IS a C2 Corvette when they first see it. I've always loved the shape of cars like that, but can't afford any of them (Ferrari 250 GTO, Corvette Stingray, Viper GTS).

The c2 pretty much is a kit car. Fiberglass body and pretty simple mechanically. I haven't seen anyone make a kit of them yet.

You know speaking of Jaws and looking at the 12 grill, you could fashon up a pretty ferocious grill for that thing....Maybe cheezy, but it would be fun.

Yall should come to SETO. Its going to be a little different this year as compared to previous years with it being at Windrock but will still be fun nonetheless. This will be my 3rd year in a row and its usually one of, if not the best, events all year. Heres some information:

If I get the new job, I'd literally live 30 minutes from windrock.

If I move to knox and buy a house? absolutely! Too bad there's no way it'll happen by SETO this year anyway.

Edit: Free place to crash if I can ride in your vehicle while you destroy it. :D

Well I have found something quite interesting here!! My dad was looking at getting some LED driving lights for his motorcycle and I pointed him to DDM tuning. He ordered the 125mm round zx series lights. I was kinda skeptical about them since they are made in and shipped straight from China, but at $45 bucks apiece there were a whole lot cheaper than the rigid industries ones he was looking at lol!! Well they came in today and well first impressions are very good!! I was expecting a light aluminum housing with flimsy lens not something substantial but I was wrong!! These things are beefy as s#*t!!! The housing is heave and looks like it will do a good job dissipating heat. And the lens is plastic but appears to be decently thick with a hefty thud sound when you hit them. But anyhow on the the pictures!!!

Unfortunately since they are his lights and he has to work tomorrow I dont have any pics of them lit up yet. But Im sure if there anywhere close to the so called 2000 lumens that they say they are then they are going to melt my face off!!!
