I've got a bunch of work to get done today so I've got to remove myself from TW for a while....

 

It's money. As long as I don't get stuck there for 2 weeks again I shall be OK. Or stuck on the base...

Anyway, hope that your pup isn't afraid after this. My boxer seems to get more bold every day. She snapped at the vet the other when giving her shots. Had to muzzle her .

 

Yeah, that's the middle of no where. Hope you can stay downtown.

Me, too. I'll take her to her buddies house later on to let her play and we shall see.

snapping at the vet isn't a good thing. Hope you can get her used to him/her so she doesn't get so upset next time.

One thing I was told when I got my first guide dog pup to raise is to look in their ears, play with their feet, run your hands over them, lift their feet... basically get them used to what a vet will do to them and it has seemed to work.

A shephard I used to have HATED to have me look in her ears and she was always getting ear infections. So, I left them alone They'd have to put her out, to clean them. Finally after a year or so of me "playing" with her ears, I could clean them. Now it's SOP with pups... don't think any of my dogs have snapped at the vet...

 

That was the first time I have ever heard of her snapping like that. She plays with me all the time and I do all that stuff.

Saga doesn't have a problem with anything. She is a big baby and really doesn't snap at anyone anymore. The only time I have seen her get angry was with Kali when she kept biting her heels.

Well, hope it was a one time thing. Yeah, I have the same thing with the girls. Annie only gets mad when either Zoie or their friend Bailey pesters non stop - then she'll snarl and snap, but doesn't land a tooth on the other dog.

Thanks Dave, she's fine. Checked her over and found nothing.

Can't really walk another way... there are mean dogs scattered all over the neighborhood.... Had to give up walking another way - there was a pit bull type dog that would jump at the fence and I was never sure it would hold him... I'll just carry a bat or glock for next time (if there is one)
