    It was hotter than fuck... 100+ everyday and freezing most nights... (probably not literally but cold enough to make all of us use both layers of our sleeping bags) the 4 days we actually got.to shoot live rounds were great the other 10 days have been pretty gay...

    hmmm... In the market for a new battery for my car... debating on if I should get a yellowtop or just cheap out and get a cheapo. I'm leaning towards the cheapo. The cheapo I have in there now has lasted for 5 years now and never gave me any trouble until recently. Batteries have gotten expensive in the last 5 years...

    Well I was thinking of seeing how the deepcycle would do with the stereo in the car and then when I get a winch (or get rid of the car) I could just get a cheapo and throw the yellowtop in the taco.

    Yeah. I was trying to decide if it might help the life of my alternator out (on full load my stereo can overdraw the alternator by itself) but I don't think a battery is going to help that any, just affect other components losing power during those times of overdraw. The battery in there now seemed to keep up (mostly anyway) so I may just stick to one of that size.
