Are the JDM black headlights crap?

i ran across these on ebay

and thought about trying them. I was all set to do the BHLM but this sure seems easier. I love messing with the truck but with the new baby/work/wife i do not have a bunch of time for the mod. anywhooo.... anyone tried these?
side by side to BHLM?

If you end up getting them give me a price for your stock headlights and I am going to try and set up a black headlight mod chain for TW world members.

I want to get a set of OEM, black headlight mod them myself then offer a swap for someone stock, black them out and do it again

 

if i get them i'll keep both. I have a thing about that. I have 2 grills, 2 sets of wheels, sort of a fear of commitment if you will......
good idea though. maybe you'll get someone with fewer issues to start the chain.....

Has anyone tried these bulbs? What did you think? How was their longevity?

Delmarva ordered them from revotec off eBay and didn't have a problem with condensation and he lives on the coast line

 

They are just "JDM style".

 

Yea revotec on ebay seems to be the guy to buy from. A lot of posts on here and toyotanation.com about him for 2 years now. I think his are made in Taiwan.

 

I think a few people run them. I was going to buy them and just add some sealant around for peace of mind. But I decided to just do the bhlm. Came out good.

 

I ordered a set from revotec on ebay last night. He told me they were made by Eagle Eyes, which also make OEM replacement headlights. And they are made in Taiwan. I will post pics when I get them.

 

I think I have those ones and they worked out just fine. I gets lots of compliments and have no leaks or anything.
