Did you have the centre blocks siped , are you worried about snow performance ?

If you don't mind , pm me the price you paid , that would be a direct BC comparison for what I was quoted , thanks

    Looks great

This makes me want to pull out my stock wheels and have these tires mounted on them, and ditch my 285's! I'd hate to eat up the stock wheels on the rocks though, and my 8" aftermarket wheels I think would be too wide for the 255's, putting the rim in harms way much more often....

Lift it first. They won't fit without the lift.....

    +1

I stuck my buddies spare on my stock truck just to see how it fit and there was about an inch of clearance all the way around. It would've torn the fender flair off the first time I hit a bump.

Ya duratracs in this size would be amazing. They would also certainly be my next tire. This is the last summer/winter for mine, and I'm debating on which to get. Really want 255/85, just a matter if anything can stack up to the KM2s.

If you wheel in rocks at all, you definitely don't want the Duratracs.

After siping excellent actually. I've told this story before, and it DOES have a lot of variables, but I was wheeling up a mountain for work in snow and I made it further and with more control then my buddy's dodge with 35" geolandar snow tires.

It is even much better on ice. Still not like a WINTER tire etc, but actually been very good.

I've moved up north since I last spoke about them though, so we'll see how they fare in a northern winter. (Dawson creek, bc)

Siping has definitely increased road noise though which is a bit annoying.

    Why?

Soft siped rubber gets good traction on rocks. I'm guessing your going to say soft sidewalls.

All three trucks playing in rocks with Duratracs and none of these trucks have ever had a flat

    and worse drivers :D

pretty sure any tire is going to fail if you drive into a sharp rock with your sidewall like in those pics  I'd say that guy whoever he is needs a spotter or needs to poke his head out the window more often IMO. :D

    plenty

I second the "sharper rocks here down south" comment. I know 3 guys here that have used Duratracks and had them flat out fail on the rocks here. and I'm not talking about 6 ply users I'm talking about 10 ply users with lots of experence and spotters.

IDK... I wheeled in the first guys backyard (URE) with my Duratracs and they did great. 9hrs from home aired down to 20psi and no worries or fucks given.

Some people just have bad luck :notsure:

Anyone thinking they can hard core wheel a A/T tire is smoking something anyway.
