I been looking around and is it me or do the doublecabs have an ever-so-slight downward slope towards the back of the roof, where Fun's ends with an ever-so-slight upward slant?? Maybe this could be the problem? Would there have to maybe be a different cap for a reg cab?
it really shows up on this one. Take a piece of paper or a ruler, and place it straight across at the very TOP of the cab roof on this truck, then look where the shell is:)

That cap is the model leer sell specifically builds for the reg cab.

You could be right, but per the serial tag inside the cap that he provided it is the right model.

I don't think we ever got an answer about your bed caps. Are they still on the truck or did the dealer remove them? If they removed them, and you sell your cap, it's going to look like hell without any bed caps.

I have a Leer and never really paid that much attention so I had to go check! Sorry not the best pics but it does sit more even with the cab. The 2nd pic shows the rail cap is still installed.

    stock, for now
good luck in selling it..My dad had a leer on his 02..Tried to trade it back to leer cuz it leaked like a mother..they were gonna send it back to leer for new windows for $600, or buy it from him for like $300.

I went on craigslist, and posted it up for $500..It was sold in less then a week. When he went back to the dealer to get a new one they were in disbelief that he sold it for $500.

Sucks about these things..Cost you an arm and a leg to get them, then no one wants them when you go to re sell them.

When i first got my truck it had a beautiful Jerico cap on it, but i didnt want it..I took it to a place and they gave me like 300 for mine also.

Hope people that read dont do what I did and order cap from dealer ,it cost me 1400 to find out and dealer would not do anything about it. Makes you want to throw the dam thing threw there window but that wouldnt solve a thing. I hope it just helps some one else before they get stuck with some thing they dont like. Really need to put you hands on stuff before you order it for you truck. I learned the hard way 1400 dollars latter. Fun4You
