    Ok so I just got my 2 -8s put in their new box like a few days ago...
    Im cruisin to work this mornin on the highway with the radio up to the max where I set it to lil wayne's - Milli (i figured its about the heaviest bass line I listen to)

    Well Im listening to one of those new Young Jeezy songs driving my tacoma. And the bass line is almost as loud as the one on milli but not quite
    THEN! in the last 15 seconds of the song
    The bass line changes
    It doubles in loudness!

    BLOWS OUT BOTH OF MY 8s! IN like 2 SECONDS!!!:eek:

    So now I haven't got a damn thing!

    :annoyed::bananadead::frusty:

    Well see you can but a 5 billion watt amp on a 100 watt sub
    If you adjust the gains correctly!
    I adjusted the gains to handle the Milli song at the most! anything over that caused over excursion due to to much power...

    And well it sent to much power

    besides its a 300w amp... how much smaller can I go Really...

    This almost happend to my stocks... I was listening to some song, it was very low in volume, so I cranked up the volume... then, during the last verse of the song... "BOOOOOOMMMMMM" I reacted quickly, and lowered the volume... scared the shit out of me...literally, I had to change my pants... lol jk. Come to think of it... it was a Lil Wayne/Jeezy remix..

    Not a bad idea. If tacomas had a sunroof it would be a lot more functional though. Where theres a will theres a way
