I just finihsed up 2 days ago ( i will still do it on my "off" lifting days). I started at a hair over 200 (I am 5'10")...i am now 160-165. (~40 lbs lost)
I did supplement the insanity with morning jogs (1-2 miels everyday) and I would also either swim some laps or jog a bit after insanity as well in the evening. Threw in some additinal mt biking and hiking on weekends for good measure.

Honeslty, insanity kicks your @$$, it is def not a joke.

I'm two weeks in. I have my 2nd fitness test today. Weight is the same (which is good, don't want to lose any...about 172), but starting to see a little more definition. Definitely feel better and can handle the workouts better although they are still VERY challenging.

Dumb question, does Insanity come with a workout schedule?

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't looked much in to Insanity but have heard great things about it from former co-workers. Been thinking about doing it for a bit instead of going to the gym.

I'm finishing up week 5 tomorrow, then apparently the intensity steps up for month 2.

I'm probably down about 4 lbs...right around 169 or 170. My weight fluctuates a lot anyway so not too concerned unless I go lower. Definitely can see a difference in abs. Definitely can feel a difference also. I can get through a workout without feeling like I'm not keeping up.

My wife notices a difference in her runs. She is training for a marathon and says Insanity is helping her in her running.

Yea month 2 sucks. I got to where the workouts were easier, then it felt like I was right back at the beginning when I started month 2.

I finished the 9 weeks of INSANITY yesterday. I think I'm going to run for about a week and start it over again.

I'm having a hard time keeping my core tight during the work outs. I did the fit test yesterday, threw up after I was done

Did the plyometric cardio today and boy is that a tough one. Coming from a military background I said to myself "This won't be THAT bad.." heh well so far it's do-able but no way in hell was I able to keep up.

I try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week after work and try to rest at least 2 days so I'll be following the work out schedule per the link provided above on my days off.

Any suggestions on keeping my core tight? Should I slow down my work out and focus more on my core/form vs form/repetition?

Don't try to "keep up" the first couple of weeks. Go as hard as you can, but keep your core tight. Trust me, after a couple of weeks, you'll notice a huge difference in how much you can keep up, and you'll be doing it WHILE keeping your core tight.

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to keep that in mind and focus on keeping my core tight when doing the exercise!

I did Insanity for almost two weeks. I haven't sweat that much in a long time. I enjoyed the workouts, but I could only do it after my daughter went asleep, so I couldn't keep it on schedule. Hopefully I can start it back up again.

I'm about to start the month 2 of insanity. I've went from 230 to 225. I started eating healthier after the first week and finally gave up soda this past week. My arms are a little more toned than than when I started but I've still got a long way to go.

I'm in the middle of week 7. The jump from month 1 to month 2 is a big one...harder, longer workouts, way more squats and pushups. Now that I'm in week 2 of month 2, I'm seeing improvement already as far as keeping up again. You almost feel like you're starting over when you first start month 2...then you see improvement just like during month 1.

Workouts go from about 40 min to 1 hour. Harder to squeeze them in but I'm managing to do so. I'm still hovering at 170, but eating pretty much what I want and however much I want just to maintain weight.

I know, old thread but no need to double up. Just started insanity today. Fit test damn near crippled me. Didn't realize how out of shape I got the last couple years. I only weigh 162 and am 6' tall but I don't like the roll I have around my gut. So, 59 days left...
