These 2012 front seats are killing me

Anyone else find it almost beyond belief that the front seats in a 2012 SR5 DC can be this uncomfortable......big disappointment with an otherwise great truck. After an hour, I'm ready to rip the driver's seat out and put in a beanbag...or something...anything.... Wow....

I actually like mine. I can't stand the sport seats. :)

I have the 2012 SR5 and I have no complaints... Well nothing is perfect but they are not bad in my opinion. I drove to Dallas from Austin and back which is about 3-4 hours one way and I did not notice it being different than any other vehicle I have owned.

I have a 2012 TRD Sport and love my seats. My buddy got a 2012 SR5 Texas Edition and was asking me if my seats were comfortable. When I asked him why, he said that his seats sank down too low when being sat on. We got our trucks together and I sat in his truck and he sat in mine. Right away I told him his seats were jacked up (Or should I say down?) Lol . This was even after he "shimmed" the back bottoms of both seats. IT WAS TERRIBLE!! Could barely see over the dash. Long story short, He contacted the management of the Sales Dept and the Service Dept at the dealership he bought it from. After explaining the situation, they told him to bring it in and then they let him sit in every truck on the lot until he found the best seats. He found a set of seats and the stealership swapped them. Maybe you should talk to your stealership. It's worth a try, you never know.

Without a doubt, these front seats are the most uncomfortable I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in. I've tried every adjustment combined. Lumbar, fore & aft. . I have Covercraft Neoprene covers and on or off, makes no difference. There is minimal "cushion" there anyway. By the way, I'll pass on the "bench seat" swap! My Dad had an '80's Toyota truck. Ya know...come to think of it....THOSE were the worst !! ...These are close though....

I have a 2011 TRD sport. I've had the driver's seat replaced once. I find the seat digs in to my lower back after driving for long periods. It starts to bother me. I'm told there is a bracket in the bottom of the back rest that has something to do with the "active head rest". If you push on it, the head rest moves. In a brand new truck, it's not bad. Once it breaks in a bit, there's barely any padding there. Anyone else experiencing this? They won't replace my seat again and basically told me I'm SOL.

I've found that a seat wedge helps.

I spend 3 hrs everyday in the seat, and they are not the most comfortable, but then nothing will be comfortable if you are spending so much time driving.
    It is 4cyl. Base DC.

Winch, front hitch, step bars, bed extender, bed step, gull-wing toolbox, tailgate lock, security system, cb radio, etc.
The seats are not perfect. It's tiring to keep my hands on the steering wheel. Arm rests on the seats might reduce that irritation a bit. A pillow behind my head and a small comforter draped over me would probably round it all out nicely.

Well I wouldn't call seat comfort "the smallest issue" considering you are sitting in your seat 100% of the time you're in your truck...

But I will say that I find the seats really comfortable and I drive hours at a time often.

The seats in my 2012 ACLB feel great, at least compared to those in my '93 Dakota:eek:
