    LT guy here and got a question for you solid axle guys. are there people who look for a stock toyota axle with locker for front axle swaps? is it even possible or practical to do so? the reason Im asking is im swapping to a 9" and would like to know if there is a market here before letting it go to a repair shop...

    No, but why, I can only say for reasons "I think"

    Housing is too weak
    Would become a passenger drop (taco needs driver drop)

    I am sure other reasons..

    However there is still a market for the rear ends with lockers for other guys. Many people want to buy that housing to swap in

    I've been toying with the idea of doing this to my truck but that is as far as it has gotten. If I was to do this and leave my stock axle in the rear what would be the best thing to do up front to keep the demensions all the same as far as how wide the wheels are?

    I dunno, im LT lol. i thought you could change the hubs to make a front axle. but as stated above. its prob not worth it unless you actually get a beefier axle.
