    I towed many trailers before but curious if you guys have the trailers exactly level ?

    I am about one inch higher at the hitch on a 22 ft trailer weighing about 39XX lbs.

    The hitch you have (saw the picture of it in your "Sway Control" thread) is easily adjusted so no reason to leave the trailer high in the front.

    Performance of the trailer brakes and general stability of the trailer is best with all four tires of the trailer supporting an equal amount of weight. Level is best.

    I go out and measure it again tomorrow since I have to move the trailer closer to the house. I have on my level down for adjustments.

    4400 lbs+ about 500 lbs in gear + the trailer that I am guesstimating is about 1500lbs
    That puts it at about 6500.

    Only tow it down the street to the hoist. Have to avoid all the power lines. The mast is about 50ft in the air when it is on the trailer.
    Any long trips I break out the diesel.

    It definitely seems sketchy, never had any issues though. Most of the weight is in the keel, the lowest point.

    I towed a 35ft sailboat a couple times. Its even higher and weighs about 9000lbs pounds, and is a wide load. I have to get a travel permit because its over 11ft wide and 14ft high. On the scaled with the trailer it was pushing 12k. Then I got a ticket for towing our of class. Apparently I need a Class A licence to tow over 10,000lbs? Lame.

    I just took this out this weekend. 2835lb. plus all my food, ice, 10 gal. water, clothing and bedding. It has the icebox and 3 way fridge.

    I know mine is back there on the hills.:D It came with brakes so slowing down hasn't been a problem even on those hills. I also had about a 1/4 face cord of fire wood, a 6-gal jug of fresh drinking water and my bike and other misc. stuff.

    I'm quite happy at 60 on the rural roads. I haven't had it out on a main highway yet, though I expect it will go alright.

    A great weekend of relaxation.

    wow, yours is heavy...mine weighs a lot less than that, i think mine's between 1500 and 2000 pounds. ours pulls great though.

    I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    I have the exact same model. Was at Rausch creek in PA last month and was just using it last night after wheeling at All Roads in Maine.
