Just wondering what comments good or bad you have about your long bed double cab.

I wonder if it comes in anything else but Silver which is all they have at my two closest dealers. Probably 24 Silver and 1 black, that's it.

Also, does anyone have insight why Silver and White are most popular colors in cars? Is it because those colors hide scratches, dents and resist fading better?

I find neutral colors boring on vehicles. I likes the Imperial Jade Mica on the Tacomas..they can bring that back. Speedway Blue is hot, but won't find that on a DC long bed.

The long bed comes in all colors -- the limiting factor is your local dealers. I had to drive to Phoenix to get exactly what I wanted. I wanted Indigo Ink, Double Cab, 4WD, Double Cab. The local dealers said my color with all the other stuff was like a unicorn and I would have to wait eight weeks.

I love my long bed, double cab truck. The ride is very nice -- that is why I bought the Tacoma -- the Ridgeline did not have a 6 foot bed and was a heck of a lot uglier.

There are no difficulties in parking the vehicle so far.... and I like the flexibility the long bed allows me to have.

    Good luck.

    Very Respectfully,

    Thanks for the feedback!

There's a DC long bed owner just a block away. I'll have to ask him all about his truck too.

I have the short bed but regarding color you can get what you like. I have the speedway blue, but I had to wait a 6 weeks to get it, a silver was available immediately. I have head that silver is the most popular color.

I like the 6 foot bed, but it doesn't come in stick, plus the 6 ft would not have fit in my garage. It is a tight fit with the short box but she's in.:)

I drove one cross country, loaded for bear pulling an overweight U-haul trailer that was towing dog leg, simply amazing. :D These trucks never say quit, pull like diesels, and oh yeah... chick magnets !

When I started to look at a new dcab I was not that impressed. My first test drive was very unimpressive. I knew I was going to get one i was just concerned about dropping 30K on a truck that did not overwelm me. I first looked at the SB. Then realized the bed was just too short. My mountain bike would not have fit in it if I had. Parking can be a little tricky, but I always park in BFE anyway. I the truck is long and takes a bit to get use to, but it drives great and I would not trade it for anything. I love it. After a couple months I grew to love it and can't imagine any other truck. The functionality is amazing. The storage the durability all is great in toyota land

I hear what you mean about the long bed ... it would leave about 2 ft feet in front of the washer/dryer in the garage .. and that's backed up only a few inches from the garage door.

If you are going to get a double cab then I think that the long bed is the way to go. I am a surfer and having a short bed just wouldnt work for putting my 9ft longboard in. You should be able to get any color that you want, its just a matter of how long you are willing to wait. I think that the other colors besides white and silver would be cool to have when the truck is brand new but you might have regrets if you want to keep the truck for many years. Just my opinion though.

I think you're right. I have a dirt bike and street bike I like to take to trackdays once in a while. That 6ft. bed would be so much easier for hauling.

I love the DC LB. I had to have the LB to haul my streetbike to the strip. It's quiet, rides smooth and drives great. My 2 choices for any 4 wheel vehicle are silver and white. I think it shows the lines of the vehicle better and doesn't mask them as with other more flashy colors. It also hides scratches and dirt better.

I love the longbed. I still cant close the tailgate when hauling motorcycles but it is close. I couldnt imagine trying to fit all the stuff I fit in the LB in a SB. BTW mine is black.

The best thing about the longbed is Toyota was good enough to make the sucker a couple inches over 6 feet so I can actually close the tailgate with 6 foot lumber or a folding table in the back. My other truck had a 6 foot bed so I couldn't close the tailgate as it was too tight with a 6 foot load in it. As for the colors, I actually read something a few weeks ago about the most popular colors for vehicles in 2007. Silver was right up there at the top. Maybe this is why you see more of them.

i have the long bed. i had to get a long bed so i could haul my quad around without having to keep the gate down. Plus why not get the extra room. Im sure the extra length cant make that big of a difference. I got mine in speedway blue too. I did order mine
