Reminds me of my old ranger . ExcePt mine was a standard cab 97 same bed . 2.3l 4 banger . Best engine they made for any of the rangers . Oh and it was 1/2" off the ground on 20's I was a cool 20 year old haha

I used to have a 97 std cab Ranger. It was a gutless wonder! No power steering, no A/C, stick shift and sat on 14" wheels

I replaced it with a 2002 ext. cab Ranger. This is where I disagree with you, I think the 3.0L V6 was one of the best engines put in the Ranger. Good power unlike the 2.3L I4 but not a gas hog like the 4.0L V6.

Mine was a stick , no ac , but I did have ps . I beat the shit out of the truck . And never had any issues with the engine . It was a great truck until I got rear ended and push into 3 cars . The guy was doing 50 and I was stopped at a red light . Didn't even see it coming . Lol that was a interesting morning commute to work . Or I should say the hospital . Got it towed back to my house stripped everything off it and off it went to the scrap yard . I got a nice insurance check and sold all the parts I took off . And pick up a 03 Honda accord .

The same guy came by again today to ask about my Willys. He knows more about my vehicle than I do and I'm starting to get concerned that he might try to steal it lol

Those do nothing. Good pair of bolt cutters to cut the wheel

Maybe he'll buy it off me when I finish it up or give up! Haha

Til then, I'll just take the body apart and make it worthless to steal

It's a '53. And I'm restoring it to factory, plus a slight lift (already on it) to accommodate the bigger tires.
