how long did it take you guys to drive up and back? just the driving part, nothing else.
i'd like to have some time to roam around up there and not be in a hurry. i say we wing it and if we can get back out at a reasonable time then we do that and if not then we camp up top and come back in the morning.

    :bored:
 Shannon never comes to meets...

Gonna be a long day for you I think.

I just don't see us getting there any sooner. I mean its going to take at least 4 hours to get to the trail :notsure:

    :sadviolin:

 no. we just harass one another. its what we do.

No. Not acceptable. Besides....if you do that how are Colton and Marcel supposed to get their grills?

If I move dinner to town and you don't show up I will TP your house.

You've known that the meet was going to be on this weekend for how long and you still manage to schedule something else at the same time?

Do not give the Canadian any weapons.

bozeman to big timber = 1 hour
big timber to natural bridge falls (end of pavement) = 1 hour
FS road to trail = 2 hours
    Trail = ??

That's 4 hours of driving from Bozeman to the trail.
Plus we need to stop for gas and bathroom break/lunch.

This shouldn't be a surprise....I've been clear since day one that this is going to be an all day drive. That's why I've been insistent on getting out of town at a reasonable time.

    Ah I misread...

Hmmm well if my buddy is up for it still then I will too. Leave butte at 730, get in bozo at 830, and see where that takes us. If not at least I should be at dinner friday.

That's why I recommend that this be an overnight trip. Making it in a day you're probably committing to a 12+ hour day of driving.

    4wheeler???

    :smack:

    drive the truck!

We spent id say about 5-6 hours and we took our time up top with photos and jess and my bro jumped in the lake and we hiked. The trail really isn't that long. I bet it could be done in 3 hours if ya just ran it strait there and back easy if not faster. Which of course we wouldn't be doing.

eh id say its like 45mins to the end of pavement. the about an hour and a half on the road to the trail head..of course this groups pace im assuming will be slower so i bet your estimates are more correct.

Yep. Would be a LONG day for Mac lol

just STFU Mac and come :p haha you can ride shotgun with me so you don't have to drive the full time :p

and again..welcome to sleep in my tent.

Lisa..im like 85% certain ill be there now

OK reservations are made for the zipline - 4 spots for Homer, Marcel, Colton & myself

The zipline starts at 315, we need to be there by 3. There is some hiking involved and they require we wear sneakers or hiking boots. Sandals, flip flops are not allowed. We should be done by 5 and back on the road to Bozeman.

Any suggestions for where to eat? We need lots of parking and seating for about 10-12 people. ....and gluten free food...
