Don't know what an "amulance" is, but, based on your comment, it sounds painful, especially after 72-hours of it.

Just picked up my 2012 Tacoma Friday, and as part of the deal, going to the trim shop and having extra padding put on the lower seat back. Can't understand why Toyota would put the rebar in front of the seat pad, think it could have been in the rear.I,also have "shimed"up the rear of the seat.Guess we'll see how it all turns out in a few miles.

I wonder of the seats are different in the 2012 models?

I think the Sport seats in my truck are super comfortable, and one of the major selling factors between the SR5 and TRD trim lines. I can spend all day in my truck and still be comfortable.

You have a 2012 Tacoma, and you spend time on this board....
maybe you're just not used to sitting on an empty wallet. :D

    Hey BRUCEB,
How has the extra padding and the shimming worked out for you after several months? I got my 2012 TRD used earlier this year and I have the exact same issues with the lower back and that metal bar. I'm very interested in learning how your method worked.

I have A 2013 trd off-road, I had the dealer put the catskins leather seats with heat and I feel they are very comfortable, coming from a 96 4x4 with a 60/40 that had broken springs. They are more comfortable after the catskins were installed.

I have a 13 Tacoma with no prob. Traded my 12 Highlander Limited for the Tacoma. In the Highlander, the angle of the pedal caused me to position my feet in an uncomfortable angle causing pain on the top of my feet. The pedal is a bit high. I changed the position of the chair in many ways but there was no change. I currently own a 11 Camry V6 SE and 13 Tacoma and the pedal is positioned lower than the Highlander. So far I have no problem with the Tacoma and its comfortable.

I was completely stoked when I first sat in my 08's seats. . . . I think they're freakin awesome! almost 100k miles and still freakin awesome! 6' and about 150lbs. comfy all day and they haven't sagged, ripped, or otherwise aged a bit! I consider it one of the best things about the truck, what gives?

I have no problems with the seats in my '13 OR, but you can drive from one end of the island to the other in an hour :D
BTW, my $34K Fronty Pro4X had leather and the front seats was nicer to sit in than the taco. Rear sucked tho.
