I have been debating lately if getting a shell would be a good idea. I have a tonneau cover but think I want more covered room. But I will be giving away the ability to easily fold cover back and stick tall things like TV's in the back (I do AV installs). Any ideas or comments?

yeah thats definitely a good deal.
definitely check out what he posted about the softopper. those are cool because they do allow a lot more coverage. the only thing is that they dont provide much security for anything you leave in the bed compared to a hard tonneau or shell

I already have a hard cover - Bak Flip Fibermax Tonneau Cover and I do need to have a somewhat secure storage area for tools, supplies and such. I am just wondering looks wise if this is a good idea. I love the lines I have now but...

I really like the the canvas topper. It looks more militant. Im not a big fan of hard tops. They do have purposes though. Id rather have canvas, But remember it is your truck. I really don't care if people like what i have, If they do i appreciate it.If they don't well, i don't care. Do you man:D

At any rate, i think you will be happy with whatever you decide

    Spotted post...

Saw a white 2nd generation access cab with a Satoshi / old school Toyota emblem and black aftermarket bedside stickers going east on Fairfax County Parkway around 3:45 today. Anyone here?

On another note, got my KM2's installed yesterday!

Doesnt ring a bell. Cant wait till they finish all that construction around fair lakes though.
I love my km2s. What size did you go with? Hard to check profiles on tapatalk so if you have it listed i cant see
Edit. And do you have aftermarket tint? I would like to make my fronts match the rears but am afraid of all the crappy tint shops floating around.

You could go to the guy that did mine, he's in Woodbridge though. I've had him do 2 of my personal vehicles and he did my girlfriends car and have zero complaints. If you want the front to match you'll want 20% tint which isn't legal but he'll do it, just have you pay cash
    I feel like I've seen that's truck before:confused:

Whats the legal limit in va? 35%? If you could PM me the place and how much it was i would appreciate it. I work in lorton, but just across the bridge from woodbridge. That would be something i would be interested in doing soon if funds allow. Before next summer definitely. Thanks!

I went with 265/75/16. And yeah, I have aftermarket tint. I went to LATint in Sterling, and they did a good job from what I can tell. I believe that 50% is the legal limit for the front in Virginia. I asked them to match front/rear which is +/- 20%. Because I went past the legal limit, I didn't do any paperwork with them and it was all cash.

Nice choice. I have 255/80/17s on mine and love them. Havent had a chance to run them in snow yet (last winter was a bust) but am hopeful they arent as bad as everyone claims they are.
And thanks for the tint info ill keep the name handy for if i get funds available sooner or later.

I have used the Tint Shoppe here in Woodbridge for about the last 10 or so vehicles I have had. Always do a great job. I go with commercial grade (Huper Optik) - it is alittle thicker but cuts down all the glare that you get with the standard high grade offerings. And yes - 50% is legal limit for fronts here in VA
