I have a 2011 Tacoma an I have a 3 inch level an lift on it with 265 tires on it.but I wana go to a 285 but it want fit now because they hit the a arm.so I was wondering about putting wheel spacers on it then putting a 285 but never use wheel spacers so I was wondering if they wear out my bearings in the front end an mess up my axles an all some people told me that they would but just want more opinions... thanks u all for ur help

Most people here will tell you not to put them on, and I'm one of them. I have Spidertrax 1.25 inch adapters, not spacers. The difference being the adapter is torqued to the hub and the wheel is in turn torqued to the adapter. Safer? I've had them for 10k miles and no problems...even done probably 200-300 miles off-road with them. Just need to make sure you check the torque every so often.

Spidertraxx are considered wheel spacers. You will rub while turning if you put wheel spacers on with that size tire. Just a warning.

Does it really matter? It is what it is. A spacer to move the wheel out 1.25"

i have 3" wheel spacers on the MonkeyCrawler :cookiemonster: i like to call them axle housing extenders for the extra width that i have gained with them. just barely squeezes between the fenders on the trailer lol..

the only downside i've had with my truck running spacers is the increased bump steer AND increased influence out-of-balance tires will have. Proper balancing and minimal offroad and you wont notice the problem... i imagine the same with bumpsteer could be said for aftermarket rims which have a different offset? could be wrong, however.
