Heres some more information on the new limited tacoma coming out. This truck (one I most likely will buy after I talk the price down) Is being build Sept. 6th and should be at my local lot by the end of September. Just clearing the air. What do you guys think is a fair price to pay.

I wouldnt even think about buying it for $37K!! Even if you can talk them down a couple of thousand, I still dont think its going to be worth it. Try getting a different model other then the limited. The word "Limited" to me is adding a few simple options and jacking up the price a few grand to rape the customers.

So to me it looks like you get heated seats, and a bunch of chrome with a "Limited" badge. I would assume the money would be more well spent on a BAJA pack? Personally, I wouldn't drop that much on it or even 34k. You can do mods to complete what you are looking for I am assuming much cheaper than what they are giving you.

Jesus christ in a side car what is it with car companies fascination with chrome in this country? That shit is tacky as hell and looks cheap. I can't stand bling chariots.

My DCLB sport 4x4 w/ entune stickered at nearly 4K less than that! All this has is some chrome and seat heaters.... Plus, all the color matching of the sport package is lost.

    Edit: and running boards/roof rack

    But still....

Yes that is very steep. I wouldn't pay that much for a new Tacoma. Like others have said, you can get a cheaper truck and mod it out with the same options. Like the roof rack, which you can pick up from TRDparts4U.com for $100 less than that and just about everything else you can find cheaper than what Toyota will charge you...

I love my Tacoma, but not $37K kind of love...

Keep in mind they aren't going to come off that price since it will be one of the first '13s to hit their lot.

sounds like someone went bananas with the "chrome"
normally Limited means dual auto climate control, smart key, push button start, heated seats, remote start, running boards, etc etc.

Personally, i would get a TRD OR and throw a lift, rims, tires maybe a front bumper.

$37k is A LOT of money for a stock Tacoma.

funny how color matched bumpers was an upgrade on the sport in past years and the OR with all it's 4wd bling had the chrome because the money was not directed towards a paint job. with the limited now chrome is the upgrade and worth the premium even though it's lame and looks like shit.

I paid slightly more than that for a 2012 Limited 4Runner. I would never pay that for a Tacoma. Just get a TRD and add REAL leather seats.

Hey, i just bought a 2012, 4.0 liter, 4dr with tow package. It had the special toyoguard stuff, similar to onstar on GM cars (Nothing to brag about). I was able to get an interest rate of 2.49% and that's what was appealing to me. I paid $29.000 out the door including tax, registration.
It all depends where our comfort level is with payments and total price. If you can afford it, let it be. Yes, it is a lot of money without a doubt for a truck. I agree with Like Gelo760, small cars are not cheap like they used to. I bought mine because I know I will keep it for at least 10 years or more.
    Rgds to all.

i would not buy the limited.. especially for 37k... but it's your money and will be your truck. Do whatever pleases you and dont worry about anyone else.

on a side note... if you put 3k with that you can buy a very very nice slightly used ford raptor ;)

You should buy the sport and I will swap you my chrome grill and bumper from my SR5, then you can buy Katskinz for a $1,000 and we will both be much happier. And you will have saved $5,500.

not saying I would buy it that is the sticker they sent me. Just wanted to post it for everyone to see. But the DCLB 2012 TDR Sports run about 33k. Talking them down to 30-31. I could most likely get them down to 34. Finance the 30k at 0% and pay $500 a month for 5 years. Still thinking about it all. I don't a full size truck. I was/am debating between the tacoma and a frontier. But as a said, i posted the information just for everyone to see what the limited package will get you! ps. I am not really a fan of the chrome I just love the idea of heated leather seats, which you can get 3rd party I understand.

I also have the ability to get a 2011 tacoma access cab with sport package for around 18k. so, idk. thanks for all the responses.

For the extras they are adding on the "Limited", how much would it cost to get all those things installed aftermarket? I bet you it's not going to be the cost that they are charging. I think that the price is ridiculous. With the price being in USD, I couldn't imagine the cost is going to be in CDN. If I were anyone wanting to get a new Tacoma, I would get a 2012.
