    No more taco life for me
    unfortuantly i never did it right with the jetta before my gf took posession of it.

    did a thermostat job.

    then a few k miles a timing belt job, even had a brand new water pump, didnt install.

    now it gets a new belt.

    i only had it for about 10k miles, and planned on getting rid of it, but didnt plan on my gf needing a car...

    Got rearended at an intersection. My taco took about a 30 MPH shot and drove away, the other guy not so good! Just waiting to hear how bad the damage is....

    Thats what i'm crossing my fingers and waiting to hear about, the bed on the passenger side hit the cab and i cant find any major sign of the bed moving at the frame mounts, so i'm a little worried:(

    Our 1st gen frames are capable of flexing quite a bit without actually bending. I've seen gopro vids that show the bed moving enough to almost touch the back of the cab just from offroad flexing.

    How much damage was on your cab? Do you have a pic of that part?

    But to one up you my engine is leaking, transmission is leaking and my rear diff is leaking. Cleaned out the breather cause it was clogged with dirt so hopefully that solves that leak.
