Constructive intent is a funny word, show me someone who successfull prosecuted for it. You can buy any parts but the rdias, those parts are not controlled.

    It happens all the time.
Generally it is "bomb making supplies", which are no less common than the things that every one of us has in their kitchen and garage... but we don't happen to have them on our workbench all in one place along with a list of "places to visit"

But as mentioned, they are normally add-on charges. The BATFE and local cops aren't going to get a warrant and break your door down (unless you blab to the wrong person and they drop a dime on you), but if you are arrested for anything firearms related, the cops are going to get a warrant to search your property for firearms related items, and constructive possession charges will absolutely be added.

Bargaining chip? Certainly. Plea out for dismissal of the federal charges and save yourself 10 years.

Just one link, to one case that was successfully prosacuted for constructive intent.

Constructive possession charges....you just made a new one up.

No.... I did not make it up:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constructive_possession
    http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/constructive+possession
    http://blog.princelaw.com/2009/07/08/nfa-and-constructive-possession-myth-or-reality/

And you asked for ONE case....
    http://blog.princelaw.com/2009/9/1/florida-man-arrested-for-constructive-possession-of-an-sbr/

And here is your case law:
Constructive Possession exists when a person knowingly has the power and intention at a given time to exercise dominion and control over an object, either directly or through others. US v. Turnbough, 1997 U.S. App. LEXIS 11886, *6.

i'd steer clear skirting things that could result in showing up on BATFE radar... you aren't likely to be treated well, unless you're a gun trafficker for mexican drug cartels - in which case you'll probably be receiving guns from them...

    +1

When I got my 14.5" barrel, the only difference between legal and felony was a poorly machined, but functional 80% lower.

No paperwork on the lower, I bought it on a group buy, all I had was my Paypal receipt which indicated "Raw aluminum casting" to remain under Paypal's gun radar.
Machined it using my drill press and a couple of mills.

Not one person outside of my home was aware that I had built a legal firearm until I posted a photo of it on Calguns.
But having that piece of aluminum was the difference between taking legal possession of the 14.5" barrel, and being in constructive possession of an SBR.

Now, had I ordered the parts for the upper BEFORE I ordered my first lower receiver, I would have been legal without the completed 80% lower, because I would not have had an AR lower to assemble into an SBR with it.

I'm not currently in possesion of anything unregistered - and no govt property in my house other then my mil-spec gear that we keep at home.

What I was referring to is that I have 2 friends that are USMC armorers that work can do amazing things with weapons....if ya get my drift.

You're suggesting illegal activities. Quit. It's obvious that you have no clue of what you're speaking.

A 2111 isn't going to know much more than "swap buffer, here's a new bolt carrier" So you're saying you know a 2112 who would know better that would jeopardize their career and life over doing a conversion for someone?

    I call BS.

The people who would actually do an illegal conversion wouldn't ever speak to you anyways. You've already proven you can't keep your mouth shut by telling everyone what you think you know.

I'm sorry I don't know you and you obiviously don't know me. I have no need to keep my mouth shut. When something is done illegally then I have a need to worry about it. Until that time I suggest you don't worry about it since it ain't your life. You like to call BS on alot of stuff that I have said or posted....like my RDS "being" backwards and not firing my own weapon. I already proved you wrong on that. I recommend not speaking unless you are sure of something. I have spent my last 8yrs greenside (4yrs of that with FAST) and have done multiple combat deployments. My weapon system knowledge is up there, along with my training with JSOC, MARSOC, Force Recon, SEALS and Combat Controllers. So don't talk down to me like I'm a little snotty kid. BTW what experience have you had since you like to throw out 2111/2112?

No you haven't. You're a jackass who has your flipping RDS on backwards. If it *IS* on right way round, it's quite possibly the WORST copy of an M3 ever.

You like to brag that you know people that will do illegal weapon modifications, (You've done this more than once in the thread. Suggesting illegal activities is against the TOS for TW.)

Wow, all those units you've trained with must make you one of the highest trained individuals in MARSOC. That's awesome. That still doesn't mean you don't know how to keep your trap shut.

My ONLY problem with you is you keep putting bad info out there with a weak understanding of NFA and how it affects your cornhole. Just quit doing that. Someone may take you serious.

As far as me, I'm just a regular old gun mechanic.

Listen here old man - I haven't bragged about anything....all I said was I know people that can do it. You are an ignorant person to think that my RDS is a copy one and two that maybe if you were to ask what sight it was and look at the manufacturer that it is placed on correctly. I haven't put any bad info out there at all - you are the one that is assuming everything. Which in your case seems to work for you. Oh, if you haven't served any time in and are just a regular old gun mechanic I have no more use to talk to you since you want to be an ass.

    PEACE!
