Well scott, figure the bumper should be first because I am already with bleh bumpers. So then I can lift accordingly with skids. Should have skid making happening soon frommy buddy. Lift, may hold out for a better setup like kings or fox with with UCa n lca as well. Armor all at once, lift all at once, and just do it once, unlike what I see where it's a little, then a
Title more, then more etc etc. I'm almost out of warranty, so want to do those mods last that can be the most detrimental. Bumpers shouldn't void, skids shouldn't void. Snorkel, prob, lift, potentially. And with my work schedule, I don't wheel as often as i like, sinceNO ONE wheels on a Sunday, ESP at strag pill, that place is just awesome. Best terrain in nj for what our trucks can handle, regardless who it is. Even as a passenger that place kicks ass.

Thanks for coming by for my bday too.

And I have a weddi g to pay for, which will be in a tropical place, so all feel Free to come by

i went with the plate with the hoop and headlight protection.

i like the hybrid one but figured the plate is better all around

Thas was I was thinking....weight is almost the same...I am also debating headlight protection, or just hoop with support

any of you two ever bash a headlight so far?

Keep the least amount of weight on the front as possible IMHO. If I had to do it all over again I would of gone with aluminum. Steel is heavy and makes it easier to get stuck.

The only reason I would consider a hoop is to make the bumper stronger, but most fabricators don't run the tube down past the plate anyway like ARB does. I know Relentless just welds it to the top.

also seeing your bumper hoop bounce around on the frame totally separate from the body is annoying and distracting IMO. I just did 12hrs in a truck with a ARB and that thing was always making me look at it.

I can't see the hoop on mine when driving (Elite). I pretty much only got it for looks personally. Sometimes it bothers me, like when working in the engine or trying to clean the front. After taking out and putting back in the alternator I seriously considered chopping it off.

Joe's ARB is very noticeable. Pretty sure your hood is higher then 2nd gen's or ours lower.

Construction to begin in 2013; opening scheduled for 2014
Cabela's Incorporated (NYSE: CAB), the World's Foremost Outfitter(R) of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, announced today plans to bring the unique Cabela's shopping experience to customers in Christiana, Del., and the surrounding area.
The 110,000-square-foot store, Cabela's first in Delaware, will be located adjacent to Christiana Mall along Stanton Christiana Road near Interstate 95.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013, and Cabela's expects the store to open in 2014.
"It's always exciting announcing plans for a new store, but there's added enthusiasm today because it's Cabela's first in Delaware," said Tommy Millner, Cabela's Chief Executive Officer. "Knowing there are thousands of outdoor enthusiasts across the region, people who share Cabela's passion for hunting, fishing and outdoor adventure, we've had our eye on Delaware for a long time. Now it's time to deliver a premier retail experience."
The store will be built in Cabela's trademark style with an exterior of log construction, stonework, wood siding and metal roofing. Large glass storefronts will allow customers to view much of the store's interior as they approach the building.
The interior will highlight Cabela's next-generation layout, which is designed to maximize product assortment and availability while surrounding customers in the outdoor experience with wildlife and outdoor memorabilia displays. It will feature thousands of quality outdoor products, museum-quality animal mounts, a Gun Library, Bargain Cave and Fudge Shop, as well as other unique features.
Christiana Mall also includes Nordstom, Target, Macy's and JCPenny, among others businesses.
"Just as Cabela's has a passion for the outdoors, Christiana Mall has a passion for providing the best shopping experience for our customers," said Steven Chambliss, Christiana Mall senior general manager. "We are thrilled to bring this first-to-market, outdoor sports and activities retailer to our center."
Cabela's is famous for its strong brand and world-renowned reputation for delivering quality merchandise, value and superior customer service. The company typically attracts experienced outdoor enthusiasts as employees.
Also today, Cabela's announced plans to open an 80,000-square-foot store in Bristol, Va.
Currently, Cabela's operates 38 stores across the United States and Canada. The company will open stores in Rogers, Ark., and Union Gap, Wash., on Aug. 30 and Oct. 4, respectively, and has announced plans to open seven stores in 2013 -- Saginaw, Mich.; Columbus, Ohio; Grandville, Mich.; Louisville, Ky.; Green Bay, Wis.; Thornton, Colo.; and Lone Tree, Colo. Cabela's also has announced plans to open a store in Anchorage, Alaska, in 2014.

Yea Eddie you can get aluminum in just about any bumper except arb. So far the ones I know of are aluminess (only makes aluminum bumpers), elite makes aluminum as well as steel, relentless makes aluminum as well as steel, I'm sure if you pm brute force and ask him he'd be willing to make one. Just costs a little more than steel.

You can even get aluminum skid plates.. Forget the name of the manufacturer, but they are in all the 4wd Toyota owner magazines.

As far as headlight protection... I want to add some to my bumper. I'd feel a lot safer trying to squeeze my long ass through some tight trails if there was something to touch a tree before the headlight. Also the grille protection would be helpful in an accident or if I hit a deer... Or a goose... :cough: :cough: Boyd...

So I'm pissed because this was the Taco I wanted to get when I was shopping recently but the dude said it was pretty much sold and to not bother coming. I ended up picking up a bone stock 01 and saw this one went back up for sale. Rage.

That sucks, it looks like a nice truck. But you can look at it this way, if you picked up a bone stock 2001 most likely it wasnt wheeled and it wasn't beat on. (that's going to be you're job:)) You will be able to build it up the way you want and you're not rocking some else's ride.
