So we moved recently and I wanted to do something different for my Man Cave.

My girlfriend is just downright incredible as she is letting me use 99% of our only spare room for my Man Cave. Off to IKEA I went...

Haven't quite decided which work area I am going to use for what but I'm pretty set on using the space on the right as my main wrenching/work area. Then the left side can be for the dirty stuff like gluing, greasing, Plasti-Dipping, etc...

My computer is on a long table on the opposite side of the room as that is where the coax comes in and the walls in this new place are all concrete so running a new cable is out of the question. I tried tucking the coax between the baseboard and the carpet but even the thinner coax I have wouldn't fit - just too tight (that's what she said).

I think I'll actually enjoy having my computer away from my work area from a tunes perspective.

    I'm killing myself!

Makes me want to sell the buggy I just got locally and get this instead, I'm mostly bashing by myself or with a group at my local track, so really don't care much if there isn't a category to race it in around here.....

T4, have you encounter any issues with the rx8 or anyone else that you know of at the track? I've been doing a bit of reading and was quite surprised of the amount of thread/posts with issues regarding the esc.

For the motor I'm planning on going either 1700, 1800 or 1900kv. As far as esc I still haven't made up my mind, LRP ix8 seems to have issues, mamba is not sensored, so I'm between rx8 or HW Ezrun, which for my surprise doesn't seem to have as much problems as other ESCs. Novak has the Activ8, but not many reviews on it, and its sensored only

I knew there were some issues, check the dates on the post with problems and I'd guess they were older. I do know of one fellow that had some problems (self induced) 2650kv and 21 tooth, duh, no wonder it smoked a motor and ESC. It did fly for a minute though. But for the most part, no worries with the newer stuff, (Tekin did make some changes awhile back).

look into 4x4 monster trucks or 4x4 short course trucks. if you arent going to be racing look at the traxxas slash 4x4 and the traxxas stampede 4x4.
