I have 5100's at 2.5" with a 2" AAL in the back. I am leaning towards BFG AT's but cant decide between 265/75 or 285/75.

Post pictures of you trucks with 265's and 285's and what lift you have for reference.

Mine on 245/75 can't wait to upgrade.

Here is mine with 285/75/16's. Pretty big difference in size between 265's and 285's...With that size lift you'll want the 285's
Mine has 2" front 1" rear lift

I see you have front mudflaps...I don't think they will survive with 285's...Also, you might need wheel spacers for clearance, or aftermarket wheels with less backspacing to stick out a little further

There's an in between size no one uses (except me) 285/70/16. No cutting, only trim tiny plastic, flap removal, and you have full flex & articulation.

I have 5100s @ 2.5" up front with the TSB and 1.5" AAL
I was on the fence for a long time after my lift, kinda wish I went with the 285s

You all have nice looking trucks thanks for the responses.

I don't mind taking them off I was actually thinking about doing it today.

    Who makes 285/70's?

    Why did you downsize?

Did you have to trim at all? I'm looking to get a similar setup...

Same as ^above^ except with 285/75/16. Billies at .85 with eibach coils and 2" AAL. I love the lift and the ride. Had to do some plastic trimming up front.

I guess comparing the two pics, an advantage of the 265's would make your smaller lift appear bigger? :notsure:
Maybe its just my eyes playing tricks.

Not to thread jack but do the 265s fit on the 2012 sport 17 inch wheels and ride without rubbing on the billies lift?

^^^ 265's are as large as you can run on a stock setup. It would be 265/70 for 17's though.

That is actually one thing I really like about the 265's. The lift looks a little bigger + no trimming.

I have 265s and a 3-4" lift and I really want bigger tires. Not sure the mpg difference between what I have now and a bigger size, and not sure if I want 285 or 255

going with the 285/70/17 BFG AT's with my ome lift op. already done my trimming and front mudflap removal, was easy, just needed screwdriver and box cutter. 265's only look good with no lift imo, so if you already have a 2"+ one then go for the 285's.
