    ready to order and I think I am going to get the FX-R since Ill be buying to headlights to retro, but question is does the FX-R handle 50w HIDs? I heard the mini's wont handle 50w. I dont want my shrouds melting or damaging the projector. Whats the difference? its only $5 more for 50w on FXR. Opinions/comments/suggestions/recommendations please? Faster I decide, faster I pay :D

    Super Important question:

    Can I order bulbs with xenon low and halogen high? I have my reasons why and know it would be stupid in projectors like this, but the bulbs I have now are like that and I use the highs for my wig-wags since I can't flash hids.

    Not in a single projector.
    The HID lamp doesn't actually switch... the low to high beam transition is handled by a solenoid lifting a "fence" behind the lens.

    You would have to go to an eBay headlight housing that uses a separate high beam reflector and socket... they move the turn signal down, and have a typical eBay POS projector for low beam.
    A TW member did a retrofit on one of these and it looks awesome.

    Aww but then I'll have to leave the bowl unpainted and I wanted to black it out :( maybe I can put em in the fog lights :notsure:

    Put them in the turn signal reflector.

    Strobes (amber) are less likely to cause issues anyways.

    Add-a-fuse to the cig lighter circuit.
    It should be on with the key only (assuming the relay is ahead of the fuse)... if it turns out to be hot 24/7, then add-a-fuse to the radio circuit.
