Idaho BS thread in the PNW

I have that size, but I haven't had mine for a winter yet. I hear they aren't bad in snow but terrible on ice. Guess I will find out in a few months.

I have like zero flex until I get below 20 psi and not much until I get below 12. The rear tire in my sig pic was at about 8 psi.

 

yea cause you had so much weight back there. But BFGs always flex good tho now that i think about it knowing they are E now..pretty impressive really

 

i had to drop to like 10psi with the duratracks to get any noticeable flex out of the side wall

 

And then you'll just bump a rock and blow a whole through the side wall

well not really..Good year side walls are know for that tho.

 

I get tons of flex out of mine too! I air down to about 12PSI and its almost like there isnt even a road under me. I love em. Dont air down those Duratracs too much though, dot want to bump into a stick or something and have to patch it

 

Go with the GoodYear MT-R... it has a Kevlar sidewall! Bulletproof!!!

 

i am gonna try 12 next, i do 15 usually cause i like the bounce they give to get over big shit

Yeah, they had a problem with the Kevlar seperating from the rubber. They seemed to have fixed it now. We had one at our 4WP down here and they let you try and knife it. Haha, its funny to watch. If you get a new bath they are pretty tear proof.

And yeah I always try and run 12 depending on the trail. Its also a good PSI for those rutty roads I drive all the time.

 

Go to Wheelers site. They list way more specs then toyotec including the lengths and what not.

Yes i think you should get the 882s with Nitrocharger shocks, not the sport valved ones tho.

Thanks. I just want a tire for fall/winter/spring hunting. Not gonna be commuting much to even worry about ice.

I loved my km2's in moab but again I havent tested them in winter or mud for that matter. Haha

Yea, i was going to build a bracket that will sit over top the fuse box that would be easily removable but i didnt get a chance at work. Was my last day here so off to the main office for a meeting with the big boss then on my way to bozo for dinner with the MTmeet folks.

I would like them but they sure are pricey. tonys did fine in the snow, and saying they suck on ice is redundant, everything sucks on ice.
