Ok, the assho#e is back - bait worked!! :p

Sorry, I've bounced in and out ...been transitioning into my new position as college president and also taking a few days off before we start the new semester - orientation tomorrow, dorm check-in took place this week.

Other than work, there's not much new with me. I've been helping out with some Labrador retriever rescue organizations and love doing it. We helped one young female lab found in an abandoned car in Manhatten - she stayed with us overnight and then I transported her to Syracuse on her way to Canada. She goes to her new family tonight.

Right now I have a beautiful 7 month old yellow male lab - tonight is his last night with us and I pass him off to the transport on his way to his new family in St. Louis in the morning. I'd keep this one in a heartbeat!

I've also been feeding the MILSURP sickness - bought an original WWII Soviet M91/30 sniper to go with the repro I have and also am awaiting delivery of a reconverted 91/30 sniper that I'm restoring. It's been with the gunsmith re-tapping the scope mount holes and accurizing it a bit.

I'm now set up with a full re-loading press set-up in the stable to reload for the 91/30 and my British Enfields.

And, I was invited to be part of a 2-man team to compete in a vintage Sniper Rifle Competition at Quantico Virginia next month. I'll be teaming with another retired Army Colonel - both of us shooting 91/30 PU snipers.

Other than that...I've been cutting grass!!:)

    . . . ^ ^ ^ . . . Turret mounted twin .50s . . . ? ? . . .

    I have been shot at with a .50 before . . . . . . those bad boys will ruin your day . . .

On a helicopter insertion ... an "on the ground slick" was hit hard with multiple .50s and one of the grunts (as he was exiting the deck) took a direct hit with a .50 in the femur ... lost his leg ... but he lived.
