Cliffnotes: She posted a bunch of funny stuff in my Ginger thread to poke fun at me, one of the socal bros got rude with her and she split, Chris 4x4 deleted dudes posts and posted a warning, I stuck up for her too and told dude to put a chill on it, texted her and told her everything, she won't come back though.

You found me. Moved to Petaluma from Stockton for Grad School. I have only been in town for the last three weeks. I'm down in Novato at the Buck Institute. We found a nice little place out in the country off of Bodega Ave, about 5 miles East of the Coast Guard Station. I will be here for at least the next year, and possibly more if I end up continuing my research at the Buck for my Ph.D. Thus far, I'm digging Petaluma, and will take the coastal influence over the valley's heat any day.

She did, but we moved so I could do my research at the Buck. The place is like world renowned, super stoked to be doing my grad project at such a prestigious institute, and I'm working with stem cells on top of it all.

Just working on my M.S. of Medical Health Science with an emphasis on pharmaceutical research. If all goes well, I would then run with this research through Berkeley or Davis, stay at the Buck, and work on a Ph.D in Cell and Molecular Biology.

I used to be close to Julie Mangana (sp?) from the Buck Institute. She used to help me and a bunch of other students out learning about DNA to track returning salmon populations.

I actually fished with her ex in Alaska this year, he's a close family friend, and even has himself a '11 Tacoma.

Good to hear little Ptown is treating you right so far.

Is this her last year at UOP?

O Chem at any level is what makes or breaks a chem/bio/premed/prepharm major; it's such a large amount of challenging material to remember in such a short amount of time.

He dropped two anthro classes when the O Chem professor told the class that most people wash out because they don't study enough, he's not sure if he wants to do pharm research or be a chem engineer, Chem engineer could work in any number of fields all over the world.

You will be able to transfer no problem?

Chemical engineering was very high on the list, when I was trying to determine what I wanted to be when I grew up. Sounds like he is on a solid path with any of those choices.

Definitely not a useless degree! He's only 20, lives off-campus by himself and is pulling a cumulative 3.2 going into this semester, I am super-proud of him fer sure.
