Well as our good friend from NY would say, you have fun in your retirement at 50, I'm gonna enjoy life in my 30's.

I just find it hard to believe non-union residential window guys make more money the union commercial window guys. I have worked for both and my family had a residential window shop which is how I got into the industry when I was a teenager. Maybe things have changed, but I'm pretty sure they haven't.

They are workers, or salesmen, top grossing salesman in my office last year cleared 250k Average sales monthly in office is about 2 million, sometimes higher in peak months. That's from 15-18 sales reps. Up to my accident I was at a little over 300k in sales from 4/9-7/3. 8-10 appts per week

I will be 48 when I retire, but that doesn't mean I am going to stop working I am just going to have an extra pay check in the mail box once a month. I am 32 and I am still enjoying life with 2 kids and a wife. I guess that's just the benefits of the old civil service job. But I do have to agree with Boyd I don't know many people other then the ones I work with that are retiring in their 50s.

How many people plan for retirement in their twenties. I did. I found a happy balance of spending money on today and how to have $$$ for tomorrow. The hardest part is keeping it in unison

Also, a dual income household now helps as well. A marriage tax break also won't b so bad.

I bought my first house when I was 21 which I still have today (rental) and I bought my second when I was 23 which I kind of live in now. ( I tore it and built a new one 4 years ago. I started planning be fore my 20s but I still not afraid to spend now.
 Wait until tax season after kids.

Anyone with a good job should be planning for retirement no matter what age. I've been contributing 10% of my paycheck before taxes to my 401k since I started working full time 2 years ago. My company also matches 6% so that adds up quick. I don't get a pension and I'm sure there will be no social security 40 years from now.

I'm going to be a homeowner very soon.. I'd like to rent it out when I'm ready for something bigger.

I would pay u to do taxes, if ur worth it. Why pay a stranger when there is u.

Josh, u won't regret home ownership, regardless of the nightmare xxxx makes it out to be.

Well you did stiff him on the $ for the alternator, so that would be a huge reason to not trust him to do your taxes. Pay back is a bitch.

If you buy a home in a desirable area, you can't go wrong. If you buy a home in south jersey, you can't win :)

There were 6 bids on my house the first week it was forsale. Mine wasn't even the highest, but it was above asking price.

My firm and I are very worth it. We can do some tax planning as well, obviously you like to plan for the future, and we are very good at doing that. Tax planning is a good idea when you are making a decent amount of money

hey now he did pay me.

damn why did you foil my plan!?!?!:D
