For those of you with a TRD-boosted 3rz or 5vz (did they even make one for a 2rz?), how do you like it? Did you purchase and install yourself? Previous owner? Original owner, factory equipped?

It's seemed like these offered bolt-ons yielded surprisingly good increases in power. Although one time I saw a SC'd 3.4 with a computer in the cab reading ~214whp

So, whos in the club? How much money do you gotta pay to play?

i have a 5vz and i installed it my self i love it its night and day compared to stock and so far ive got about 1700 into my setup but plan on adding more ive got around 225hp according to the ultragauge but that was before i added my smaller pulley also it hasnt been tuned or on a dyno so im sure it has much more power than that i also dont have anykind of piggyback controler either just larger injectors so there is more potential for it that i have yet to harness!:D

Bought mine already installed, truck had around 65k miles. Love the whine when getting on the freeway, and the surprise on young punks faces when they try to pass in their Hondas. Seems to pull more when ect power button down, running 91 octane also.

I purchased a Supercharger from a dealership in Ohio for about 3K and installed it myself (back in 2000). It greatly improves horsepower and requires 93 octane fuel - for sea level that is...

i have the 5VZ, with the TRD supercharger and TRD 7th injector kit installed at 75,000 miles. Installed everything with the help of a buddy

Just a heads up if you have an auto tranny you absolutely need to send your valve body out to IPT (or level 10 if they are still around.) if you wait too long to do this or don't do it at all your at risk of buying another transmission.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
If you are interested in the TRD build, this is a must read:

5VZ FE Putting down about 300HP at the fly wheel with TRD Supercharger, URD 7th Injector, and URD 2.2 pully.

You younger ones should spend less on your truck and more in a grammar class. You get an A+ for that long ass run on sentence
