I've got a 2011 chrome. I was going to ask you, how did the blk paint hold up on the trd rims? Thinking about doing the same, but guy at paint-shop told me alloys was hard to stick primer/paint to. I just got a 2011 and it looks like we kinda got the same mod game plan. Looks good man.

Very nice looking truck. I've been looking all over the net for a super white grille surround. Can you tell me where you found yours? Thx,

Angeloh163 - it held up well, I just did it at home, but I bet if you took it to a professional body shop that knows what it's doing then you will be fine!

stanbp64 - I got my grille off of eBay but you can check in the buy sell forums here for a cheap OEM one or get one straight from the dealership

^ Nice Build VEET! Looks like how I started when I was building my Taco in stages. Nice Mods man. . .

Not to be a jerk. The Cab Mount chop doesn't look too Dependable:rolleyes:. Looks really sloppy and choppy. Doesn't take much to take a grinder and smooth off those jagged edges @ $225. I think KR would've been the best choice at $100 and driving time. He makes it look smooth and stock.

However if it works, it works. Sorry Sick Nick didn't work out for you. I've heard from others he is not the best at customer service but his work is great. I've never used him personally. I don't think I'd use DEPENDABLE Off-Road after seeing that work.

^ Thanks for the compliments! I admire your truck.... If I could get mine to look half as good as yours I'd be happy as can be. But being a full time college kid, only working part time doesn't allow me to put much money into this puppy. At least not as much as I would like. I only went to Dependable because I already mounted my tires and couldn't stand the rubbing, I just went to get it done to get it over with. I wish I was closer to KR FAB. Sick Nick was just dumb.... I'd love to get a grille like yours and put it on my truck!

^ Welds are how shops show off their work to other guys who know welds. I never knew anything about welding until Kenny showed me welds. Then I got a chance to check out the garage projects at Camburg to see those welds on full race frames. Then I started noticing welds on my TC LT Kit. . . Welds, welds, welds.

Truck looks far legit for being a full time college student. Finish school and who knows that you can do to your truck afterwards. ;) I'd take it back to them and have them grind down those welds to smooth it out. I haven't seen any shop produce that kinds of outcome for a paying customer.

sdixon - The road noise is pretty much identical to me. Not much difference if any at all. I hated those Nitto Terras personally... to each their own.

    Hiatt1991 - Thanks man!

Thanks man, my bumper is made from All Pro. I got it color matched to my car to put a little twist on it.

My stereo is alright, wish I would've gone a different route though to be honest.

Your truck looks awesome, really got some good ideas from it-like the color match: but what I really want is the hood with the scoop! Did you order that from the Toyota Dealership? I found some aftermarket ones pretty inexpensive 135! but yea thanks for any help
