    Hello San Antonio TW members,
I've been stalking TW for a while and finally joined TW about a month or so ago. I really want to put a lift on my 2011 DC 4x4 OR and have it narrowed down to a LC UCA, OME 885 coils and nitro 9000 shocks up front and a Wheeler's 3-leaf in the back. Curious though, for all you guys that are lifted, have you had any problems with Toyota dealerships blaming unrelated issues on your lifts? I called one dealership parts to see about an UCA bolt, instead of bending the inner fender. He asked if I was lifting. I said I was considering it and he freaked out..."your going to void your warranty!!" I told him I understood that they would not cover my aftermarket parts or any damage those aftermarket parts caused. He said "if your propeller shaft is out of alignment and your tranny goes out it won't be covered...etc... If anyone has first hand experience, before I order my lift, is there a "lift friendly" dealership in or near SA?
    Thanks

    LOL

    Its not a boat.

It's a drive shaft. but I guess it could be called both just found it funny.

I have heard multiple things. Like if you get your truck lifted at a reputable shop then your warranty is still good. Dunno if true tho because stealership will just tell you to take it back to them. "passing the buck"

Also have heard that if you do start haveing any kinds of probs even the stupidest of things the stealership will blame it on the lift.

But these are Toyotas I say lift it.

Don't listen to them they can't deny you service on your vehicle for a lift, where did you buy it at? Red mccombs sells vehicles with lifts I didn't have any issues there, a 3"lift won't effect anything much if you go taller then that there may be other issues you'll have to take care of, I'm posting from my phone I'll follow up when I get home on the puter

Welcome to TW. I lifted my truck with only 5000 miles on it. The dealership should only give you grief on warranty only with the parts you modified, but not saying they will not try to get out of it. I got a quote from the dealership where I got my truck and asked the guy how he could tell me the price with a straight face. He came back with "it comes with a lifetime alignment" over $1,500 for a spacer lift. Anyway, lift it and dont look back. By the way PINS any reference to fishing???
