just ran all of the wires for my the new sub/amp setup. Never wired anything stereo rlated, so i was pleased to see everything working when i hooked up the amp and subs. just waiting on the box now

which leads me to a question......
anyone know if i have to remove any of the atachment points behind the rear seats (unbolt the seat retaining hooks or cut off the baby seat anchors)? I removed the plastic storage compartments, but wasnt sure if any of the metal needed to go.

 

the only things i had to remove were the little thin sheet metal pieces that the plastic bins attached to. nothing substantial

an'd i've answered part of my own question by just looking at that picture. seems it diesn't go up high enough to interfere with the seatback anchors.

 

I didnt have to remove any metal, and if you remind me on sunday i will show you mine, i cut the top off the plastic compartments to create a "finished" look above the box. I will see if i can find a picture to show you.

 

i like the plastic compartments idea. might save that for a rainy day (which is frequent recently)

cool, looks like the same box. gues i'm going to be hard pressed to squeeze my amp and inverter both in there huh? maybe a little reingineering of the box is in store. were your subs hitting the plastic behind the seats?

 

these ones were.. but they have more rubber than my old MTXs...tho it sounds 100x better with the plastic removed...im also about to install seat covers so that will close in the back of the seats.

Oh I forgot to mention I sold that box. Somebody pm'd me after they saw I was going to pick them up and offered me more than I paid.

no you dont..once you get one you can never go back...anytime im in other vehicles now I hate it cuz they sound so shitty.

my seats are folded down 95% of the time, and i throw stuff in the back seat, so i'll probably leave it as is if the subs don't hit.

yep! deffinately cutting the top off of the plastic bins. that looks really good.

No. That's actually kind of neat. I parked by you on Thurs in lot 18 but you were still there when I left so you never saw.

 

damn...but yeah i always park that area...usually get the end spot and hug the curb...crazy ass people drive those lots.
