OK so I'm getting rid of the stupid hockey puck lift and finally installing the 5100's I bough from Hiatt yesterday. I have 2 questions.

    1. They are set at 1.75" lift with OEM TRD OR springs already assembled. The current spacers on my truck are "supposed" to put me at 2.25" of lift, but with Taco Lean, etc it's probably around 2" on the drivers side. Will the 1.75" setting give my truck a huge rake? Should I disassemble the springs and set them at 2.5" before installing?

    2. Anybody running without a sway bar on 5100's and stock springs? How bad is the body roll, and have you ever gotten scared enough to want to put it back on?

    Thanks in advance fellas. :)

My truck for height reference...already has a rake of about 1/2" because of the Toytec AAL's.

the rake will be there. probably round an inch. My truck set at 2.5 and 1.5" all sat almost perfectly level.

I also ran stock springs with no sway bar. No body roll due to the stiffness of the springs

hey man. i currently still running my 5100s with stock springs and just took my swar bar off last week.

its not bad at all. then again i was used to it with my suburban that i had before and that was a big ol stinkin truck.

its not scary at all. if your not used to play around with it on a vacant road before moving to the highway

I've heard of the body roll being minimal with OME 885's and 886's, but not with the stock OR springs?

Yeah I'll try it and see how it goes. The front of the truck doesn't have to be in the air to re-install it does it?

Its really minimal with the OR springs. The OR springs are progressive, so it takes more and more weight the further the spring compresses.

Ok thanks for all the feedback guys! I got them in and disconnected the sway bar...body roll is definitely noticeable but not as bad as I thought.

1.75" isn't tall enough though, I'm rubbing all over the place right now.

Badass man. Can wait to see them on your truck sunday. The bodyroll should be about the same. Like i said, if 1.75 isnt enough, ill set them to 2.5 but at 1.75, i doubt you will have any "bro lean", especially since you have an aal. If you consider the rake at stock, plus an aal, 1.75 set on the billies should be nearly perfect!

Hmmmm. Thats kinda wierd. Do you have 285s? I had to trim a bit. Ill def help you out with reseting them if you want but it will ride firmer. Still better than a spacer tho. Lol

It's rubbing only if I have the wheel turned and I go over a bump or gutter, drive, etc. I think it's hitting the wheel well plastic on the back and front, though most of the front is trimmed on both sides. And of course the cab mount but that has always rubbed.
