Yes i know the OP has the 4 cylinder in his jeep. i still dont see how the toyota engine would have LESS power that what he has now?

Really, if I had ALL the parts from a Yota. What would really be costly? Engine/Tranny mounts? Some custom dash work?

 

Yeah there is an inline 6 stroker in the Quadra Tec mag I have that I was considering. It would probably be easier, but I like being different.

A 4.0L Jeep engine would be a solid swap. Don't get me wrong, I love my Tacoma and it would be cool to see the Taco drive train in a Jeep, but the 4.0L Jeep is a solid engine with lots of torque. I had one in a Cherokee with 258K miles and it still ran great with no smoke or issues.
