Just not feeling it. IMHO, there is alot of work put into this, but I just dont feel that it made the vehicle function any better. My focus when I modify is to make something perform better.

If my intent was to have a vehicle to take over to Africa, I would just use a vehicle that is readily available over there.

The guy wanted it to resemble an older land cruiser front end. He had a vision and the means to go for it. I have been following his build thread for a while. At first, the front end had me puzzled. But after looking at it more and more, the more I like it. Just gotta appreciate it for what it is.....

If you get a chance, read his build thread from start to finish. Really great insights and a standup guy. Also has some great mods for utility of the bed.

if he put all the money into that truck he couldve had an access cab short bed, like the SEMA truck, but leave the front alone. it looks like a mitsubishi montero as it is..

    yes...better

    1980's beach Tacoma look

I had white 5-star wheels and Kelly Safari 33's on my '86 reg cab 4x4, no lift kit all stock suspention

that truck came from the factory w/o a rear bumper. (my 1986 Toy reg cab 4x4) it also had no A/C...crank windows...no radio...from the factory.

    price was right $8,995.00. :D

i think that thing is pretty freakin cool. Not back to the future cool but pretty good. If they leveled out the front and got a better front bumper it would look great.

I've been following this for a while now on expo. I wouldn't have done it but at least he's trying something different.
