Yeah, when I first saw lubricate propeller shaft in the maintenance schedule I thought what the hell is a propeller shaft? Took me a minute for it to click that it was the drive shaft.

I bought it at Toyota of Boerne. They have always been cool to deal with, but I've never had a lift. This was the parts guy. I've seen lifted trucks on their lot for sale too. Just made me a little uneasy so I wanted to check if any of you guys had ever had problems wih a SA dealership honoring a warranty on a lifted truck. Thanks

I don't think you will have a problem, plenty of people have done it. Me for one.

$1500 for spacers, that's crazy!! As far as PINS, I love to wheel on on Padre Island National Seashore and the wife and I like to camp were there is nobody around. 38 mile marker or so I haven't caught the fishing bug yet, but my brother in law has bought a surf fishing rig. when he gets it all figured out I may buy myself one. :D
BTW your truck looks friggin awesome.

Yeah don't listen to a parts guy, service is where you go for maintenance anyway. I know Mike and myself didn't have any problem purchasing UCA bolts from the stealership. I think the only issue you'll have is finding a decent place to get it aligned, I still haven't found a good place that'll do the job right and the alignment will hold. My advice to you is to figure out what kind of lift you want, what your mostly gonna be doing with it and purchase it. I just sold my taco but i've had every kind of lift possible on it (except a DB lift) so I can pretty much tell you which would be the best for the type of driving you'll do.

I've pretty much decided on a LC UCA, OME 885 coils and nitro 9000 shocks up front and a Wheeler's 3-leaf in the back with OME N182 shocks. So far I only wheel on the PINS beach, deep sand but can get pretty rough at times. What do you think?

You mean Light Racing UCA's? That would be a nice set up, I had 885's before they rode good, if you plan on adding a aftermarket bumper or grill guard you will have to step up to 886's or a heavier spring in the front. If you haul alot of loads the wheelers pack will wear quickly and sag some. But if not you should be good for a while, Dakars are pricey but seem to be the best out there as far as longevity goes, a little stiff for flexing but don't sag under heavy loads and great for hauling (camper, trailer)

COOL, exactly what I needed to hear! I too have always had good experiences there, until the parts guy freaked on me. But I hadn't been lifted. If they don't have problems with your bad ass taco with all the mods you have listed, def shouldn't have a problem with mine!

D'oh:homer:....yes Light Racing (LR UCA). No plan for bumper or grill guard, maybe just a small light bar. For when I am loaded, I already have Air Lift bags on the rear that work great. I've heard on TW Dakars have a tendency to squeak. Did you have any prob with squeaking? My pre-TSB springs squeaked like a mother at times and drove me crazy. I was alway prying them apart, cleaning, and lubing.

During the summer we normally go about every third weekend or so, sometimes every other weekend. After Labor Day (when the rates drop) we stay in Port A codos, but we still seem to make it over to PINS at least one day during those trips.
